Must love cats
House sitter required to look after our cats Tilly (17) Cindy (3)and Reggie (3). The cats are healthy and are not currently taking any medication. The young cats are a little playful and Tilly enjoys climbing onto laps. Our needy cat Cosmo mentioned in a previous review has now passed away. Your own car would be an advantage to explore the local area. Our 3 bedroom, elevated house with hammock on the back deck is located in the peaceful town of Murwillumbah about 10 minutes walk to town and only 20 minutes drive to the beach and 45 minutes to Byron Bay. .Close to numerous national parks. Our house is on a hill and out of any of the previous flooded areas.
You will need to feed the cats twice a day and clean out their litter tray once daily. There are fish in a pond that also need feeding. Depending on the weather some watering of our garden and a bit of weeding may also be required. The bins will also need to go out once a week.
Must be a non-smoker. We would prefer a quiet single or quiet couple as our cats are not used to children. Also please note we do not have a television but do have wifi. Really enjoyed our house sit. Karen & Nick were easy to house sit for. They were most welcoming and we knew exactly what we needed to do! Worked well and would be happy to house sit for them again sometime.
I loved this house sit and fell in love with the cats, Tilly, Reggie, and Cindy. All very different characters and so well behaved.
Such a beautiful location, lovely serene home. and Karen and Nick are lovely, easy going, and easy to communicate with....A super stress free house sit that I highly recommend for the cat lover looking to relax, wind down, .... and just enjoy the moment.
We had a wonderful time in Murwillumbah looking after Karen and Nick's 3 cats. All 3 have different personalities, and all very lovely and friendly, and easy to look after. You'll know the time of the day without needing a clock, as they'll tell you when's the feeding time :)

Karen & Nick were delightful to meet and housesit for. They were good communicators, easy going. and left us with clear well written instructions. The house is a lovely Renovated Queenslander with open back verandah overlooking the mountains and parks. It's well situated, perfected for riding or walking to town. A pleasure to stay at Nick and Karen's welcoming home, hanging out with a loveable feline furball trio! Murwillumbah has developed into a lovely town, the CBD offering numerous delights for foodies and coffee lovers. Walking into town is both easy and pleasurable. And of course lovely beaches and amazing bush are both in abundance nearby. A happy mix - appreciation to Nick and Karen for the opportunity.
Karen and Nick are so welcoming and gracious. Their character home is comfortable with the best bed! The house was spotless! A lovely deck, complete with hammock and a lush outlook has views of Mt Warning. They left a detailed list of wonderful things to do in the area. There was some weeding of the garden to do but only if I wanted to.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 weeks in Murwillumbah house sitting for Karen and Nick.
The house sit was locked in nice and early, the communication was solid and the whole process ran smoothly. Nick and Karen are a very genuine, easy going and friendly couple. They provided me with sound instructions that I could easily follow.
The two cats Cosmo and Tilly were relatively easy to care for once you understood their routine, and they provided plenty of affection and good company.

We had a lovely time house sitting and Karen and Nick at the end of 2018. Their two cats, Cosmo and Tilly, were gorgeous, our son absolutely loved the responsibility of caring for them, giving them cuddles and brushing Cosmo.
Delightful updated old house in a convenient location, close to town center and river. Cats were good company and easy to mind. Lovely people, well organised and easy to deal with. The Easter eggs were lovely thought. Thoroughly recommended
It was a real pleasure to be able to help Nick and Karen out recently by caring for their lovely cats, Pudda and Cosmos. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the beach and shops and I found their apartment secure and comfortable. Nick and Karen went out of their way to make me feel most welcome. We had a wonderful time house sitting for Karen & Nick in Coolangatta! The apartment was lovely, spacious, modern and in a brilliant location. It was just a five minute walk down to the beach and about 15 minutes into town. The two cats, Cosmo and Pud, were absolutely beautiful, sweet natured and a real pleasure to look after- we will miss them lots!
