Gowrie ACT

We’re Pete and Barbs and have lived in our Gowrie home for the last 35 years .Pete owns his own business and I am semi retired . We live with our gorgeous 2 year old GSP/ Labrador X Alfie .
It was my 60th this year and Pete has booked us a 3 week holiday to Italy to celebrate so super excited , so we need someone to stay with our gorgeous dog Alfie who suffers from separation anxiety , ( we’re working hard on his anxiety and hopefully he will be a lot better by September )
Our children usually help out or we take him with us when we go on short holidays but for longer breaks it’s best for Alfie to stay at home. Alfie is a big dog with lots of energy who thinks he's a lap dog .
Ideally we would love someone that could spend most days with Alfie relaxing and taking him for nice long walks , there lots of great short bush walks not far from our house that Alfie loves going on . If you needed to leave Alfie for any length of time he would need to have anti anxiety medication ( we’re working on that too and hopefully we can get rid of the need for it by September !) so that he was calm and relaxed when left . My son and daughter in law do have days working from home and would be able to take Alfie off your hands for the occasional day if needed , they live in Monash which is 5 mins by car .

Our house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is situated on a private battle-axe block facing a reserve , which is great for walks with Alfie . Coles and Woolworths are within walking distance .The bus stop is just up the road but we do have a car available and there is another undercover car space if you have your own car .The gardens a pretty low maintenance, and would require an occasional water . There is a large pergola for you to enjoy as well as an east facing deck, there are some gum trees so an occasional sweep of the deck would be great . We have 3 bedrooms a large kitchen dining a family room with smart TV and a seperate lounge off the master One bedroom is currently set up with a single bed and cot and the other has a double bed .
Master has a large ensuite with shower and bath.
