We need a house sitter

Hunter Valley - Lower Hunter Valley

Stephanie

Looking for responsible sitter to care for our house and three cats while we are away. Our cats are a bonded 3yo sibling pair and a 2yo, all extremely social and friendly. They require feeding 2x daily and medications with their food, litter boxes cleaned out daily and love any attention you give them but don't need someone home all the time. They are also friendly with dogs and we're happy for a sitter to have their own well behaved pets. There are farm (wire) fences around the house but it would not be secure for very small dogs or dogs that can easily jump fences. Outside dogs would also need to be friendly or used to horses, alpacas and other larger animals who are likely to graze on the other side of the fence.

We live in a large 4 bedroom farmhouse with 30 acres of land overlooking mountains and forest. Our property backs on to national reserve that has great walking tracks and we're a 25 minute drive from Hunter Valley vineyards and wine region. We have home wifi, a coffee machine and space to relax.

My parents live on the same property but in seperate home approximately 1km away (not visible from our house) and will take care of the larger farm animals. A sitter would be welcome to move throughout whole property as they wish and my parents are friendly and happy to help answer questions if required throughout stay, but would otherwise give you space to enjoy your peaceful getaway.

It was great to be back to care for Gus, Jemmy and Gizmo. Nymeria's own Border Collie cats. As usual Stephanie and her partner provided everything we required and never any problems giving Jemmy and Gizmo their daily medications. Gus is a really dog friendly cat and loved being extremely friendly with Nymeria. We look forward to perhaps sitting for the cats again someday soon.

It was our distinct pleasure to care for Gus, Jemmy and Gizmo (Black and white cats rule 🐾). Nymeria was in her element "cats, cats, cats I love to watch cats! Stephanie and her partner were very accommodating and we'll be back in in a couple of weeks to do it all again.

Di and I enjoyed our "weekend retreat" at Mt Vincent. Steph and Kate gave us great detailed instructions for the cat's meds and feeding routines so all went smoothly. They all had different personalities and were easy to care for. It was lovely to see the horses and alpacas as we drove in and they were quite friendly. It's a great property to explore and enjoy. Even though we didn't get to meet them in person, Steph and Kate were good communicators and told us everything we needed to know. A ... MORE

We had a very relaxing time caring for Steph’s 3 cats. A peaceful location, in a very comfortable home. Great communication, particularly when we wanted an answer about 1 of the cats, while they were away.
