30 acre farmlet, 10kms from the beautiful little seaside town of HOPETOUN.
Looking for house/pet sitter to cover our property while we are in Perth having a baby.
Now provided everything goes to plan we would ideally like you to arrive on the 17th July so that we can introduce you to the pets and show you around. we will be leaving early morning on the 18th. Plan will to be back sometime on the 9th August, again this is based on everything going smoothly.
Given the nature of why we are needing a sitter, it would be fantastic if we could find someone who can be a little flexible with dates, say the week lead up and post. Big ask we know but worth a try.
The house/shed yard is snake proof fencing so no chance of any escapee animals or little humans haha there is a lane way between that fence and all of the horse paddocks, making it easy to access everyone at feed time. Horse fences are all solar electric fences and the external boundary is full fenced as well.
The house is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home, there is 1 x king bed and 2 x queen beds which can be used if needed. The 4th bedroom is set up as an office but plenty of room for an inflatable mattress etc if you need extra bedding. Alternatively there is plenty of space to park an RV/Van within the houseyard.
The back area is a semi enclosed outdoor area with beautiful sunset views over the mountains.
It is all tar roads to/from no matter which way you are coming from, huge boat ramp in town so if you wish to bring the fishing boat you would be on the water in 20mins. Plenty of hiking tracks in the national parks as well.
Whilst it may sound like a lot of pets they are all very easy and self sufficient. short of you loosing time loving on them it really will not take up much of your day.
2 x 4yr old great danes, very well behaved, they don't require walking or anything like that, just feeding once a day, water refreshed as needed and being loved on. they sleep inside the outdoor area of a night (no toileting issues, they love their sleep haha)
1 x 12month old kelpie, he is a typical kelpie in that he is high energy BUT once he has settled with you he calms down and is not naughty or anything like that. Like the danes he does not require walking, he loves being with a human so will follow you like a bad smell if he can. Fed once a day and sleeps inside with the danes.
2 x chickens. Just need food and water refreshed as needed, you are of course welcome to their eggs.
2 x sheep, they don't require an care, they just wonder between the horse paddocks as they see fit.
4 x horses, (hoping this will be down to 2 horses by the time this sit is but will include full info incase thats not the case) they are paddocked in 3 different yards, all very friendly and generally very well behaved. water is on floats so whilst we ask you to keep an eye on them you shouldn't need to refill. they all have round bales of hay in their paddocks so they just get fed once a day on top of that.
It takes approx 20mins to make and feed, they are not at all needy, the 2 black ones love a scratch the 2 bay's can be a bit more standoffish till they get to know you. We just want someone here to make sure everyone stays on all 4 hooves and or paws really.
no gardening maintenance required, only plants are succulents so unless unusually hot they wont need attention maybe just a 2 second midstay water.
House has a large wood fire and is completely solar with back up generator so no chance of power loss and has plenty of water. even a dam if you so wish to take a dip. Wifi available, is with telstra so generally fairly reliable.
if I have missed anything or you have any questions please shoot me a message, look forward to hearing from you.
