It's all about the DOG!!
Hello. I took on an 8 year old male Red Heeler Cattle cross("rescue") dog, when his former owner/my neighbour passed away October 2022.
Davon, the dog came with a few behavioural issues (given his difficult history) but has improved greatly since then, though he still has trust issues with people and dogs unknown to him. Positive reinforcement techniques have helped with his ongoing progress.
I would like to find someone (preferably solo) who could provide companionship, attention and exercise to Davon.. He would be less overwhelmed by one person.
It is probably fair to say that a fit person with dog behavioural skills/experience who is willing to continue with his progress, would be ideal.
There is enough space on my 1600 sq mtre property for a large sized caravan and vehicle and for power and water hook up to the house.
Alternatively, the one bedroom house can be occupied. It is kept clean and comfortable.
Davon will require an "intro" to his care giver/s, prior to my departure to visit relatives interstate.
I also have other travel plans in the future, if you would like to make regular visits to this area😊.
The town has numerous facilities including a local food and fuel store, post office, hotel, visitor centre and art gallery, library, licensed workers club, sculpture park, noodle shop, bakery, co-op and op shop and is approx. 50 kms from Manjimup and 30 kms from Pemberton and Windy Harbour. The area is known for its spring flowers, southern forests and proximity to the Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi Trail.
