Kerry and Butch
Hi,
We are looking for a couple that have their own van and happy to stay in their van. Welcome to use bathroom, laundry, kitchen and lounge room as you require. Just not the bedrooms. You will have access to electricity and water and a dump point to ready you before you go but of course use our bathroom while your here.
You would be required to look after several chooks and 4 sheep and 2 dogs. Jack and Jill.
Watering the Gardens are on a timer so no need to worry about that, likewise the pool. The dam may need to be topped up. Front lawn won't need watering at this time of year.
We live right near door to Murrays Brewery and Wonganella Wines (Sunset in the Vines). We are only 50 metres down the road from the avocado farm also. Lots of other interesting things near by too. Beaches etc.

Sorry but we have to say no to pets of your own as our dogs live on 17 acres and don't see other dogs regularly (so to speak) and would be a bit protective. Jack is a red cattle dog (desexed) and Jill is a border collie (also desexed),
We are booked to leave early on the 5th June 2024 and will be away until the 12th June 2024.
We like our sitters to arrive the afternoon before so we can show you pumps and bore and other farm bits and pieces, so pull up the day before and get settled and we can run through everything with you.
We have a pool in the back yard, ready for use and relaxation if it's not too cold. We have an outdoor spa but this is not available to due hygiene reasons.
My elderly parents will be in the end part of the house but separate completely to you by way of an added on extension to the house but separated by a garage and they won't need for any care from you. They just can't walk around the property safely to be able to feed the animals for us or do sprinkler etc. We would be too worried they fall over and break a hip or something. They keep to themselves.

We had a great time caretaking Kez and Butch's beautiful, rustic, country retreat!
We were warmly welcomed as we arrived early with our caravan ahead of the school holiday rush to park up in their gigantic shed.
It was a real treat to sit by the fire pit each night watching "duck tv" over the dam sharing stories over drinks with Kerry and Butch before they left on their holiday.

We immediately feel at home and on the first night we enjoyed a beer and a BBQ together before they went on holiday the following morning,
Jack and Jill we lovely and affectionate dogs that just wanted to be around us all day and play ball games.
The chooks were great, easy to look after and absolutely loved feeding time!
Kerry and Butch have a beautiful home with plenty of land to explore.

By prior agreement, I didn't stay in your home, but in my caravan, so I had relatively little involvement with the interior of your home. A great house sit. Kez and Butch made us feel very welcome and at home. They went out of their way to help us. The space for our motorhome was excellent, under cover on a large shed with power. Looking after the farm animals (sheep and chooks) was very easy. Exercising their 3 dogs each day was simple and lots of fun, either walking the property or taking the gater (motorized buggy). Thank you Kerry and Butch, we enjoyed looking after Jack, Jill and Miss Lucy who we fell in love with, they all have their own cute personalities. The sheep and chooks were easy to take care of.

Great place to stay. The pets were well behaved and Butch and Kerry were always on hand if we had any issues! Both Butch and Kerry were very welcoming and sociable-we look forward to meeting up with you guys again!

We took care of their sheep, chooks, and two of their four lovely dogs, who were very nice to have around. The place is fantastic, with a great kitchen, a large pool, a whirlpool, and close to awesome beaches. We hope we'll get the chance to sit there again in the future.
Kerry and Butch have a great property at Bob's Farm and their dogs were a pleasure to look after. If we couldn't do a housesit for them we would hope that they get good people because they deserve it.
