We need a house sitter

Adelaide - Adelaide Hills

Lois

We have a comfortable home on 1.5 acres about 1 km from the small town of Willunga.As we are outside the town we do not have street lights and the house can feel rather isolated at nights. The garden will require a little care but we want someone who will keep our friendly , 15 year old spoodle company and also look after 4 chooks. We do not have reticulated water so we rely on tank water. There is ample supply but some management of the water pump will be required. Willunga is in the very attractive Mclaren Vale wine area and is only 20 minutes from lovely beaches. You will require your own transport as the only public transport is in Willunga. This is a quiet, semi rural place but only a little more than an hour, by car, from Adelaide. It will be difficult to accommodate large motorhomes or vans on site as the approaches are steep and the property is on a slope although this means we have great views.

Communication with Lois and Kevin was thorough and thoughtful so we knew what to expect. They left very clear instructions for Cokeys, chook and garden irrigation. Their home is large and comfortable and Cokey a very gentle companion who was good company both at home and out. She slept well and enjoyed a brush and tickle. Willunga is a short drive and a lovely town with coffee shops and weekly markets. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Cokey in this peaceful spot.

We found Helen and Wayne to be ideal house sitters as they kept us well informed about Cokey and our home. On ou return the house was spotless and they had a meal prepared for us ( to reheat later). This was our first time house sitting and we can honestly say it was a fantastic experience from the start. We spent 7 weeks looking after Cokey, who is just adorable, and enjoyed every minute of it. The property is in a beautiful location and there are endless things to do in the surrounding area's. Communication with Lois and Kevin was great at all times and we can highly recommend house sitting here if you get the opportunity.

Currently housesitting for Lois and Kevin in Willunga SA. A very nice home and lovely friendly dog Cocey. Communication was open but they did take down their add, which I was not pleased about, however I did manage to confirm the sit and have the orginal post on my communications and in my photo library for reference. So far the housesit has been stress free, with light housework and gardening, maintaining the water tanks and garden watering system. Chooks are laying eggs so they are in good ... MORE

we had a great time sitting for Lois and Kevin, a lovely home with great views Communication was good and Willunga is a great area to explore, Cokey is a lovely quiet dog and enjoyed our walks and interaction. Garden care seemed a lot, but was very easy ans simple to water with all the timers etc. we would be very happy to house sit there home again at any time.
