We live on 5 serene acres on the Melbourne side of Woodend.
We have farm animals including Humfrey our donkey, Apollo our alpaca, Polly our pig, two 8 week old kittens and our elderly dogs - Nero and Kora!
Nero is struggling a bit in his behind legs, and requires daily medicine with his food and sometimes assistance with getting up.
The kittens are fed regularly (dry food left out for them to graze) and dogs are fed twice a day, all other animals only require feeding once a day and are very low maintenance otherwise.
We had a lovely time in Woodend looking after Kora and Nero and the farm animals. The old dogs, although very stiff, were still keen to stroll around the property and were very easy to medicate with their food. Communication was good during the sit with a feeding run through before departure and any queries promptly addressed by phone. We would happily sit for Rob and Sharon again.
We house sat over the Easter long weekend at Woodend for Sharon & Michael. Communication was excellent & they were very helpful & welcoming.. Their home was very comfortable & it was an excellent base for exploring the local area eg. Macedon, Kyneton, Daylesford & Trentham etc. The 2 dogs Nero an elderly labrador & Kora were friendly, well-behaved & great company. They did not need regular walking. We enjoyed taking care of Sharon's pets. Dogs and donkeys love cuddles, and the alpaca and pig were easy. It was a pleasure meeting the family prior the sit, and we felt welcome. The instructions were very clear, and communication was easy. The house is ideally located : in a quiet area very close to the town of Woodend. Thank you again for trusting us !
Sharon and her family were a pleasure to sit for. Animals were adorable and very easy to care for and the garden was no trouble. My communication with Sharon prior to the sit and whilst they were away was also great. Woodend is a lovely town and the surrounding area great for exploring.
Care for someone else's pets, go for walks in a brand new place... Surprise yourself and expand your horizons.
