Sydney - Northern Beaches
Audrey
I have 2 beautiful crimson bellied conures, Ace and Duke.
They have a large bird cage but I usually let them free flight in the main leaving room when I’m in the house - they are fed fresh chops and sprouts every morning and fresh water daily
And in late afternoon I usually give them a bit more sprouts, they should have some mix seeds available in their cage but that’s not their main dietary.
They are very friendly birds and do not attack, I do target and trick training with them daily it helps
With bonding and mental stimulation + it feels
Good when they do what you ask. Eg. step up, turn, wave,…
If you like bird and feel comfortable, you can get them out of their cage but be mindful to not open the door of the balcony or outside door - if you are looking to go out have a piece of apple or pear in the cage (there is a stick that you can get the piece of fruit in) they would fly into the cage and then you can close their door. I can create a full run sheet + videos :)
They usually go to sleep around 6/7pm and would wake by 6/7am sometimes they can be noise but it’s rare.
My place is a 2 bedroom unit, floorboard, balcony, own washing machine/drier - I consider myself very tidy and will vacuum daily
I’ll expect that the unit will be clean and tidy when I return
If you have any questions please ask!!
They are my boys and I really care about them both
