We live in a lovely north facing two-storey home on the Northern Ridge of Goonellabah. We enjoy a rural outlook with a nearby country walking area with shady gum trees, koalas and wallabies often visible for those who enjoy getting back to nature.
Shopping Centres are at Goonellabah (a 5-minutes' drive) or either Lismore Square or the Lismore City Centre (10-minutes' drive away).
The beach at Ballina is an easy 30-minutes'drive away and Byron Bay a mere 45 minutes. Nearby Lennox Head and Bangalow are worth a visit and also boast popular coffee and restaurant options.
We have a 19-year-old Abyssinian cat who was diagnosed with diabetes 3 years ago and who requires insulin injections morning and night approx. 12 hrs. apart. He is easy to dose with an EpiPen. Being an-inside-cat, his litter tray needs maintenance every 4-5 days.
We also have a 4-1/2-year-old Beagle dog "Gracie" (who lives outside) so the yard is fully fenced. If you have a small/medium sized dog and it enjoys company we would be happy for you to bring it with you. Gracie needs a walk every day (I currently take her early in the morning for three-quarters of an hour or so and she walks well on a lead. She can be a little reactive with dogs she doesn't know but I have developed techniques to manage this.
Preferably we are looking for an active retired couple with confidence with animals and who enjoy looking after a garden.
