We need a house sitter

South East & Central - Mid West

Phill

I'm away and would love someone to house sit and care for my 3 year old cattle x dog. The dog is a rescue and very affectionate, social and loving. The dog would require at least one walk per day, he is used to being at home throughout the day by himself while I am at work so you would have freedom to come and go as you please. The home will have full water, electricity and wi-fi free for the house sitters use. The home is 2 bedroom and one bathroom with shower and toilet. The home is sparsely furnished, so you may prefer to bring your own bedding / towels.
The home is located in Bluff Point, next to an open sports field, a 5 minute walk to the chapman river trails and a 10 minute walk to the ocean and a 7 minute drive to Geraldton CBD.
There is a space next to the large shed which, I believe, the previous owner used as a caravan spot (there is an outdoor PowerPoint on the outside of the shed). The shed is large.

We had great and very clear communication with Phill in the lead up to this sit. Cooper was a delight, very easy to look after, and very well behaved, if a little food obsessed! The house was comfortable, and very handy for buses into town and walks to the beach or along the river. We enjoyed our stay and time with Cooper and would recommend this sit to anyone looking for a chilled time in Geraldton.

JACKIE AND ALI (Oct 2023 - 1 week 3 nights)
This housesit came at the perfect time. Phil was very open and commincated wonderfully. He even gave good tips of wonderful hikes and dog friendly beaches that i loved! Cooper a little ball of fur with large busts of energy. (He wasnt fazed by the 20km run i took him on) A word of advice, when Phil says something like 'Cooper really likes food' Really he means, 'Never leave food unattended on the bench and avoid abandoned food left on the ground when going for walks' If its food, ... JENNIE (Nov 2021 - 1 week)
We had a nice time looking after Vinnie and Phill's house. Such a gentle nice dog (once he got to know us), attentive yet unassuming. We really liked our walks and outings with Vinnie and he was very appreciative of our company. We would happy to take care of Vinnie again!

FELIX + VERONICA (Oct 2020 - 1 week 3 days)
We loved our time with Vinnie, the gorgeous stumpy cattle dog. He is a wonderful dog who took to us quite quickly and was then really good on walks and during downtime at home. Phill was an excellent host with great, easy communication. My partner and I had a lovely time!

KAYLA (Jul 2020 - 6 days)
did not enjoy this house sit. Client did not tell me that there was NO linen, e.g.; sheets, towels etc. House was crawling with little cockroaches. The next door neighbour loaned me linen. Vinnie the stumpy kelpie was a delightful dog, we did a lot of walking. Loved him

DIANNE (Feb 2020 - 1 week 5 days)
Phil was the best host. Very hospitable and we made a connection with winnie over the few days , he was settling in and loved long walks.

CONNIE (Nov 2019 - 5 days)
Phill was really friendly and introduced us to Vinnie, the cattledog before he left. Vinnie was a bit barking at first but after some minutes he was the loveliest dog you can imagine. We really enjoyed our stay there and could easily spent more time there.

JONAS (Nov 2019 - 2 days)
Phill was very friendly and easy to communicate with and he didnt leave the house until he was sure that his dog was comfortable with us. Vinnie, the Cattle dog was an affectionate character once he got used to strangers being in his home. Vinnie is obedient and easy to walk. We were left with plenty of food for Vinnie. We really enjoyed this house sit and were able to explore the region. Best wishes to future sitters.

ROSE (Jul 2019 - 5 days)
