Kyneton VIC

The House: The house is a classic Victorian single story weatherboard property with 3 bedrooms, cozy log fire and a beautiful kitchen with lovely views of the garden. The house is a short drive from the town centre and is well equipped with everything you’d need including lovely double gas oven, large fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, fantastic shower and a deep bath for soaking in. Unlimited wifi, flatscreen tv and plenty of board games and jigsaws for the cold winter evenings.
The area: The house is just outside the town of Kyneton in the Macedon ranges wine region and is very peaceful and quiet and set on 3 acres of land. The gardens have lovely mature trees and a large productive veggie patch with plenty of winter veggies to eat. Kyneton itself is an awesome spot, it has amazing food options that span great fried chicken and burger places, weekend breakfast spots and also some fantastic finer dining restaurants. Kyneton has some good pubs, wine and cocktail bars and a gin distillery too and easy access via the Calder freeway to either Bendigo (45 minutes) or Melbourne (1 hour).
The pets: We have two 8-year-old cats (Tommy and Poppy) who come and go during the day through a secure cat flap in the kitchen. We also have a 7-year-old Beagle, Penny. Penny is a very sweet beagle who has a daily walk, loves her food, and gets on well with our cats. She is quite happy to sit on the sofa or the floor by your side for most of the day and keep you company. Outside in the garden we have three chooks and 2 ducks who have their own area to wander in. They need very little except letting in and out of their coop and topping up their food and water every few days.
