We need a house sitter

Melbourne - North East

Paul

Hello, we are looking for someone to look after our house, our dog, cat, rabbi and chickens....We have Merlot (like the wine) an Australian Kelpie that is very friendly, full of energy, and needs daily exercise. My parents will look after the dog some of the time. The dog is house trained and sleeps inside at night. She would like a walk each day, or play on the field next door to our house.

The cats just need food. The rabbit has a pen that she can be placed in during the day and she is very friendly with the dog. The 12 chickens have a door that automatically opens in the morning, and automatically closes in the evening after they put themselves to bed. Eggs need to be collected. The cats just needs to be fed in the morning and evening, as does the rabbit. They just need food put out each day.....

As you might realise, our priority is companionship and exercise for the dog... We would like a single/couple that does not work really long days so the dog is not by herself too long...The house is double story, big backyard and covered deck.. no maintenance needed. undercover parking. 10 min walk to train station and shops.. lots of walking tracks nearby...Located in Diamond Creek.

My parents will probably have the dog and rabbit part of the time, and could feed the cats if you were away for a night or two.

The house has a large private deck, wifi, Netflix, and undercover parking on a very quiet street. A caravan could be parked out the front.

We thank Paul and Toni for the opportunity to care for their home and animals - we had a great time. We were able to receive a verbal handover supported by photos of the cats and labels which were very useful. Their immaculately clean home is located on the edge of the Yarra Valley and we enjoyed great walks and dining opportunities.

Toni and Paul were great to sit for. A beautiful home, with a lovely back deck looking out onto huge old gumtrees. The native bird life was amazing. The house itself is beautifully renovated and very comfortable. The six chooks provided fresh eggs every day and I enjoyed eggs every way imaginable for the time I was there. Marmite the cat was great company - very affectionate and inquisitive. Would be happy to sit for Toni and Paul anytime.
