The Gurdies VIC

We are looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter. We have 4 INDOOR cats: Storm, Yuki, Mokey, and Harriet. They will need feeding but are not "lap" cats. They don't mind a pat if they come up to you, except for Harriet who can be a bit grumpy. We also have 2 medium sized dogs. Jed is a Staffy X Lab and is 10 years old and Miley is a lunatic Beagle X Lab and is 8 years old. Miley has some genetic issues with her legs and is given Meloxicam when required (Vet supplied). She still gets herself around OK and enjoys being outside. Jed will be 7 weeks post cruciate ligament surgery and may be a little restricted. The dogs run around on our property and generally do not need walking, although I am sure they would appreciate a nice stroll occasionally. They both love attention so lots of loving, pats and scritches would also be appreciated.
We also have around 40 Chickens, which includes 2 (or 3) roosters. They have an automatic coop door and a large feeder. This will need topping up occasionally, along with the water containers, but otherwise they are independent.

We are within walking distance to the Gurdies Nature Conservation reserve or a short drive to the carpark. Lots of other walks available in the area such as the Rail Trail, George Bass Coastal walk, and the walking track between Corinella and Coronet Bay.

Closest townships are Grantville, Lang Lang, and further afield is San Remo, Philip Island and Wonthaggi. All have some services with most major supermarkets available in Wonthaggi. Woolworths home delivery is also available.

The house is large, set on 2 acres, and sits on the top of a hill. Glimpses of French Island and Western Port can be seen from the front deck.

House has Internet with WiFi, mains power, gas bottles, and outdoor BBQ area. There is a bedroom available with a sitting room that has a large TV with access to the Internet. There is also space for a caravan or camper if you prefer. Water tanks supply water to the house and sewerage is provided by a Septic system. There is a plunge pool and spa if required, otherwise we will set it to "Away from home" and no maintenance would be required.
