Glenwood QLD

Hi Everyone,

My partner and I are looking for someone to mind our dogs, cat, chickens and plants while we go on our honeymoon road trip in May till early June.

We are located in Glenwood (where the Sunshine Coast meets the Fraser Coast); nestled between the Toolara, Neerdie and Tuan state forests
Via the forestry roads we are only:
- 30mins inland from Tin Can Bay (dolphin feeding!)
- 40mins inland from Rainbow Beach/Great Sandy National Park
- 1hr inland from Inskip
Straight down the highway we are:
- 1hr north of Noosa
- 1hr south of Hervey Bay
Also only a short boat ride to Fraser Island (K'gari) from either Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay.

Our home:
- 12 year old male cat (never been without me longer than 10days)
- 7 year old female red cattle dog (who is very anxious)
- puppy who will be 6months old by then, red cattle dog x kelpie x bull mastiff
- 6 chickens
- lots of pot plants on the verandas and inside plus some fruit trees, veggies and herbs around the block.
We have 1.5 acres, that would allow for a caravan. Lots of front and back verandah space, amongst the gum trees, parrots, kookaburras, kangaroos and wallabies and a dam covered in lilypads to overlook. Someone referred to our place as "the tree house" the other day.

About us:
I work as a support worker and Claire works largely from home as a part of a family business (so the animals are used to having lots of company with Claire). We are kinda homebodies and love our fur family so going on a holiday will be hard, but we also work very hard and are keen to start married life together by running away from civilisation for a couple of weeks, haha.

If you are interested we'd love to hear from you! We will require recent references, ID, police check or ability to obtain and a meet and greet beforehand. Of course, we in turn can provide you with similar information to make you feel at ease. Privacy, truthworthiness, respect and effective communication are our top priorities, both in terms of what we want and in a housesitter and how we plan to conduct ourselves as hosts 🙂

There is also the opportunity to sit our place for 2 nights while we go away for our Wedding ceremony - April 25th-27th.
