Highfields QLD

Hi there!
We have a large family home (4 bed, 2 bath) on an acre in beautiful Highfields. Just 10 minutes from Toowoomba, a large regional city, our location suits any age group or interests. There is a lot to do around us but we also have a beautiful quiet area if you just want to hang out in the hammock and enjoy the birds!

We have a lovely large dog called Nala, who is an 8yo Bull Arab x Mastiff. She is quite lazy and has bad hips so walking/playtime is minimal- a walk to the local 7 eleven for a morning coffee (2km round trip) is about the most she can handle. She loves being inside with you, chilling out on the cool tiles but knows not to be on the carpet. She is quite content through the day in the backyard.
We have a scaly breasted lorikeet who is tame but not a cuddly bird. She has free reign of the house but makes quite a mess (does not chew, just poo!) so she is restricted to the enclosed patio area. She is very territorial of her bells and cutlery (don't let her get a spoon!) but is otherwise very pleasant and entertaining.

Our six chickens are very low maintenance and just require feeding daily. They are free range in the large backyard and roost overnight in their pen. They are old, and go off the lay regularly so can be classified as ornamental chicken pets as opposed to egg contributors!

I do have a vege garden out the side that our grey water runs into to sustain but I do not anticipate having much growing in there at the time of our trip. We do have kikuyu and couch lawns so if the rain is heavy we would appreciate the lawns mowed.

Inside maintenance is pretty simple. :)
You will be set up in our spare room, which has a comfortable sofa bed, smart tv and computer desk. We will also have a hanging rack for clothes but storage is unfortunately limited. NBN wifi, access to our streaming services and all utilities are included.

There is room at the side of the house for anyone preferring to travel by caravan and live that way instead! Couples and small families are welcome to apply.
