We are going to be away and need someone to care for our free range rabbit, Pedro. six bantam chickens, some little fish. We also have a small herb garden that will need watering occasionally.
Pedro spends most of her day outside in the backyard and comes inside at night. She roams around where she likes. To care for Pedro, she needs her litter box cleaned out every other day, fresh water and grass/hay put out. Apart from that you just need to let her in/out of the house. She's safe in the yard, and is minimal maintenance. She's a Rex Rabbit so doesn't shed much and most people with allergies are fine with her.
The house itself has one queen room and two child rooms - one with a cot and single bed, and the other with two single beds. Two living areas and a large kitchen. Nice quiet area of Mudgee. New build house. Wifi, Netflix and Stan sport.
Note: Mudgee is a 3.5 hour drive west of Sydney. There is public transport (via a train then bus) to Mudgee once per day.
Note 2: There is very little public transport in Mudgee, and none to our house. You will need a car. Our house is about 3.5km to the supermarket.

It was really nice and easy to take care of Pedro, the chooks and the fishes. The house is clean and comfortable on a quiet neighbourhood and Sally was very relaxed and easy to communicate. Thank you Sally ✨🥰
This was a lovely, easy housesit.
Sally was friendly and made us feel very welcome. She provided clear instructions and was easily contactable if required. Her home was clean and well maintained and offered all comforts.
The pets were a delight and we really enjoyed caring for Pedro the rabbit, four chooks and some fish :) Very easy and great fun!!

Pedro was a nervous bunny to start with, but by mid-week she was happily hopping towards us whenever we got down to her level.
The house was great. Modern appliances, all the TV options you could want and a wood fire that kept us warm throughout.
Mudgee was great. Love the surrounding mountains and there was plenty in town and surrounds to keep us ... MORE
We had a lovely time in Mudgee! The house is really nice and Pedro is so easy to look after, she is a cutie! It was very easy and quick to communicate with Sally and she gave us some good tips for exploring the area. We would definitely go there again!
Sally and Simon were accommodating from the get go. Flexible, easy to communicate with and welcoming are just some of the words that spring to mind...Lovely people and lovely home and we couldnt ask for a happier house sit. Looking after Pedro was a breeze and we fell in love with her immediately. We wouldnt think twice about house sitting here again. What a pleasant all around experience!
