Hi there. Our names are Michael and Anika. We are looking for someone to house sit and care for our beautiful fur babies for 5 weeks in August/September this year. We have a beautiful Border Collie cross Labrador dog named Zara. She loves two walks a day but she can manage with just one if time does not permit two. She is a love bug and enjoys cuddles and playtime with her human friends. She is well socialised and great with other people and dogs. However, she can get scared of new people (tall men) and/or random things like the vacuum or fan sometimes, but you just need to support her to get used to them and this doesn't take long. Zara needs to be fed twice a day. We will leave chew treats to give her if you are heading out for the day. Zara is very well toilet trained and she can hold on overnight and/or if you leave her inside while going out she will hold until your home. Zara sleeps in her bed in the lounge room and she likes cuddles on the couch (but understands "no" if you prefer not to have her on the couch). We also have the adorable black and white, rescue cat Tilly. She will mostly stick to herself as she is scared of people (besides us). Although once she gets to know you, she will come for cuddles, pats and scratches on her own terms. Tilly needs to be fed twice a day and her litter changed every few days. We will make sure to supply all pet food, treats and litter. We can also do an online order for any pet supplies to be delivered to the house if needed. We have some pot plants that need to be watered. We also have front and backyard lawns that require mowing, however please let us know if this is not possible and we can try to arrange something. There is a possibility of me leaving my car for use if needed, please ask me if this is something you'd need.
Our house is 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom and has a beautiful undercover deck area with views of the sunset, BBQ, hammocks and a darts board. We have Wi-fi, ducted heating, airconditioning, fans and a Smart TV with various streaming services. We have a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary cooking equipment including an airfryer, rice cooker, food processor, blender, pods coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven and gas stovetop. The house is located just 6 minutes drive from Fountain Gate Shopping Centre. We are a 10 minute walk to the train and this train takes you direct to the city in 50 minutes. We are a short walk or bike ride away from Hallam Valley Bike Trail. There are many nice cafes and parks a short drive away such as Lysterfield Lake, Churchill Park, Cardinia Reservoir, Wilson's Botanic Park, Frog Hollow Reserve, various off leash dog parks and more. We are about 20-25 minutes drive from an off leash dog beach. The local supermarket is only a 5 minute drive. We are pretty central to many great hikes and weekend day trips.
