Hi House-sitters,
I'm Carly, a solo Mum to 2 young kids and a professional who is finally going away on holiday.
We are looking for a single/couple (though families are welcome - there is a cubby house and monkey-bar set up) to look after my 2 indoor cats (Basil & Lavender) and 2 guinea pigs (Robbie & Queen Bee) for 3 weeks in Sept 2024. We have a homely, comfortable house that also has some well-established houseplants that need the occasional watering (Promise I do not own any drama queen plants... hahaha). My house is located in the beautiful and leafy Cockatoo, in the Dandenong Ranges. My home is a 3-bedroom (all Queen or Double beds), 2 bathroom open-planned weatherboard home situated on 1/4 acre on a sloped property. Lawn mowing can be arranged by a gardening service if you prefer, but there is a push-mower available if you enjoy mowing. Our home is bright, well-lit with all double-glazed windows, solar panels, heat-pump heating and cooling and gas-demand hot water. There is also a wooden fire if you want to cosy up in the evenings with a good book to read or puzzle. I own a coffee machine, and have a lovely outdoor covered rear patio area that's perfect to enjoy a relaxing hot drink in the mornings. Cockatoo is easy to access and a great place to base yourself for exploring the Dandenong ranges and Yarra Valley.
