The house is situated on acreage approximately 8kms from the town centre. It is run on rain water to the house and bore water for garden and animals. The dog, a female American Staffy, is 13 years old and will sleep inside at night or whenever the daytime weather dictates. She 'self walks' around the backyard but enjoys a very short game of chase with her ball under the back verandah. The horses have breakfast in the stables then they are put out into the paddocks, with appropriate waterproof rugs. They stabled, rugged and given a hard feed for night-time. Chickens need to have their feed and water checked regularly. They are not let out to free range due to foxes in the area.
