Looking for a Housesitter in 2024? 👍 Look no further!

I have an abundance of years of experience housesitting (20+ years). Originally, my husband and I were asked to house-mind but over the years we became professional house sitters within Australia as well as various countries overseas. As retirees we loved to see new places and meet different people which led us to accept a position overseas as Australian Volunteers in third world countries for a period of years. These experiences taught us how to “go without “ and the difference between “wants” and “needs”. A simple life with a focus on a healthy diet and an active lifestyle became our philosophy. This included us being a non-smokers, non-drinkers and people who have never done drugs.

On returning to Australia, we continued to house sit professionally for years and have written and verbal references from satisfied home owners. These are available upon request.

Since my husband passed in 2023 I have decided to continue to housesit as I believe I still have a lot to offer home owners. I have the expertise, temperament and ability to continue this adventure on my own. Also, I enjoy being able to help people take a break from their usual lives so they can enjoy doing something different, which is important for people’s mental and physical well-being.

I am multicultural in my outlook, diverse in my understanding of how people live and aware of how important TRUST is when housesitting homes and caring for family pets. I can guarantee an extremely high standard of care and responsibility taken for your life’s assets and I have an abundance of love and compassion for any family pets that I may have the privilege of looking after. I believe that I’m a very competent person in a crisis, with a level head and am also a careful decision maker.

I am very capable of maintaining the inside and outside of a home as in the past I’ve owned several homes, mostly with swimming pools. Since I am on my own I have taken over the jobs that my husband used to do eg. lawn mowing, pool maintenance etc. and other simple household maintenance. I have proved to myself and others that I am fully capable of looking after homes and pets on my own, therefore, I know I would be a great asset to you.

I’m tech savvy and communicate via Messenger, FaceTime, Messages, Email etc. on a frequent basis while owners are away so we can stay in touch, particularly for pet owners who long to see photos and videos of their little ones. If I ever come across any problems, I will not hesitate to contact the owners and discuss how to overcome them. Owners are always involved because I value their advice whilst I am looking after their homes. The homes I look after are filled with the owners love and memories and are a valuable part of their lives. In turn, I respect their property, their animals and their wishes for the way things are looked after.
