New to this platform but not house or pet sitting!

I’m an animal lover who is responsible and happy to have opportunities to get away & help others while I’m not in structured, paid work (very flexible with hours). I’ve always had dogs (large to tiny, with various additional needs), cats, Guinea pigs, chooks, fish and other needy creatures. I’m a ‘muck in’ kinda person who doesn’t mind getting dirty, but likes keeping spaces clean.

I’m a social worker and former teacher, currently a carer, very reliable and considerate- and my short offsider, Ellie (6) is a quiet girl who is a natural with animals. She likes to play with Lego, cars, magnetic blocks and her teddy bears. I love to write, drink good coffee, read, listen to a good podcast or audiobook, and we both love to garden. Ellie and I are both calm at home but like our outdoors dog walking adventures too.
I’m from Melbourne’s inner North but now live in South West Vic near Port Fairy. We regularly come to Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, also locally in Port Fairy and Warrnambool- but welcome opportunities in other places too! As I’m a full time carer now for my unwell Mum (and so live with her in a small cottage), the opportunity to get away at times is valued. I can take some pretty great pet pics too and that might be a great gift to leave for you if your pet friend is a willing subject and you were keen.
