Vet Nurse and Animal Lover Sitters

35, Emergency Vet Nurse

34, Photographer

Hello, we are Laura and David, an unmarried couple who have shared a life for the last 12 years. Originating from Scotland, we moved to Australia in 2015 and are now citizens of this beautiful country. In 2024 we will be travelling Australia a lot more with our jobs and so are hoping to tie in some house sits and maybe we can find some new animal friends along the way :)

A little about Laura:
Laura is a specialist emergency and critical care nurse. She has been a vet nurse for 17 years and it is her passion above all else. Laura has excelled in her career and since venturing into the world of emergency, has earned extra qualifications which makes her one of only 14 qualified emergency and critical care specialist nurses in the whole of Australia. Laura works a combination of clinical nursing and also is a lecturer for a vet nursing degree and travels interstate often to give lectures at international veterinary conferences. This means your pets could not be in safer hands with all her knowledge and experience!

A little about David:
David is a freelance photographer and musician/recording engineer. His passion for creativity is hard to rival, with most of his work being done from home and very easy to schedule around Laura's career. David is extremely house proud and loves to keep living quarters aesthetically pleasing, clean, tidy and smelling fresh. He loves to cook and bake when he is in the house and otherwise enjoys the great outdoors with Laura, biking, hiking or camping. David is just as mad as Laura about animals, Laura handles the medical side if and when required and David is able to assist her in anything that needs done, though he is often been found asleep on the sofa covered in kittens when we are looking after fosters....

Together we have a huge amount of experience looking after animals that are not our own. We have volunteered for an animal rescue charity for the last 8 years and have fostered countless animals in that time that have needed temporary housing. From kittens to adult cats to dogs each with their own story and set of special needs. Each one has entered our home scared, maybe ill and unsure of what life holds and they have left happy healthy, full of love and ready for the next chapter of their lives. We also have looked after most of our friends' animals as they will often only feel comfortable going on holiday if we are able to look after them. We have also volunteered for other charities over the years including a chicken rescue/rehome and a marine animal charity, looking after and cleaning up our oceans. We joined another pet sitting site last year and our first house sits have all received great feedback, and its something we genuinely enjoy doing.

We are happy to look after any pets and they will be treated as our own.
Medication or health concerns are not an issue as Laura is a professional in this respect and is happy to administer any medications they may need.

Peace of Mind

Happy you!
