Hi, ( Time for an update)
Well since our first successful sit in Ipswich on a farm with 10 cows, 4 dogs, 3 fish, chickens, ducks & a cat ( Thanks Mel, for a great start to our home sitting experiences) we have met many more interesting and wonderful owners welcoming us to enjoy their home and pets in great locations and its been remarkable how fabulous and accepting of us all our sit animals have been.
We often travel with our van around Aus but its really nice to stop awhile with a bit more space to experience a location or stay longer to spend time with family that don't have space for our van etc win win
Every family asked has been so kind and allowed us our own family to visit, especially when they don't want their pets left too long, and if it suits we are also happy to take suitable pets out with us, it just makes sense and it is so much easier and less stressful than leaving pets.
We are always quiet and respectful the same as we treat our own home & neighbours.
We also respect owners wishes if they prefer no visitors and we would not accept a sit if or when this would not suit our circumstances.
We would love to find our next sit around St Helens Tas in Sept/Oct for my parents birthdays in their 90s, no van this time

Kathy and Vaughan were an excellent find for us.
They got out of their way to come to us a day earlier to meet us in-person and to get to know "the ropes". They communicated through the whole process very efficiently and responded to each question, request in very timely manner. They kept us informed with pictures and summaries every day we were away which was extremely comforting for us. It made us very relaxed knowing that everything is great and looked after at home.

Communication throughout was excellent, we got regular photo's of fun activities they had with our dog, regular updates on the house sit also. We arrived home to a beautifully cleaned house. I think this will give you an good idea of what Kathy & Vaughan are like. Arriving home we enter via the side gate. Toffee bowls out of the back dog door and squeals with happiness for approx 30 secs going from one of us to the other fast as lightening. Interspersed with that she races to the fence to check if her obvious favourite's are hiding, looking so hopeful, then grudgingly returns to us! TWICE!!! We go inside, it's cleaner than we left it and the clothes are folded on the bed better ... MORE
Kathy and Vaughan are just lovely people who cared for our home and pets wonderfully. They made sure to clarify any instructions needed and we felt confident to enjoy our time away. Our Kelpie can be a handful and they were great with him. The farm animals were managed and cared for well.I would highly recommend Kathy and Vaughan for future house and pet sitters. Mel
