Hello! My name is Tahnee and my partner Jaime and our two littlies are doing the big lap around Australia.
We left from Perth earlier this year (April 2023), rented the house out and bought a caravan to take us from place to place.
We have been full time in the van since January and have had a few house sits on our journey so far.
We are a reliable, honest, adventurous and nature/animal loving family.

I am hospitality based, love making homemade food and my partner is an electrician by trade and also an all round handyman!

As life can become a little crowded in the caravan, we thought that breaking it up and doing house sits would be both useful to get some physical and mental space from cozy living, and give us more of an opportunity to feel more like a local; getting to see what each place has to offer, meeting new people, making friends etc.

We arrived in Cairns about September 20, we have both found work and plan on being here for some time with the possibility of staying a year or more (who knows, it’s bloody beautiful here).
We have had one house sit already and happy to give references from the homeowners.
We would like to get to know Cairns and surrounds due to the possibility of moving here, and what better way to do that than housesitting for YOU!

My mum is also available often to do housesits in Cairns as she moved here a couple of years ago to be closer to my nieces. She is mid 60s, quirky as hell and she LOVES dogs. She keeps a very tidy home too!

We sadly had to leave our 13 year old Staffy with family as she was too old to live comfortably with us on the road, but we would be glad to give our love to yours!

Tahnee and Jaime were fantastic house sitters. They loved our dog Eddy as if he was there's (he misses them dearly). Our house is cleaner and garden in better condition than when we left! Tahnee had great communication, letting us know promptly if there were any concerns which allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing our house and furbaby were being looked after. I cant thank Tahnee and Jaime more for the sit and cant wait to go on a holiday again if they are around 😉

This family were so great. There was lots of drama before they arrived with a cyclone, overwhelming work commitments and family issues (from my end) so they arrived to a house that wasn't really ready for them and had to be shared with my family for the first few days as my flights were all cancelled. They took it in their stride and shared the space generously without complaint. When I returned home, the house was way cleaner than I'd left it, with a hot meal waiting for us along with a bottle ... MORE

These guys are the best. They looked after our house and dog through a cyclone and flooding and did an amazing job. Great communication and we came home to a clean house and a very happy dog! Could not be happier!
