Ben & Jean

Hi. We'd love to house-sit for you! Since 2013 we have experienced house-sits, in the country, at the beach and in towns both in Australia and overseas. We've thoroughly enjoyed each one. We are an active couple, interested in pet, house, and garden sitting for you. For the moment, we are happy to consider requests anywhere in Australia including WA. We are quiet, non smokers, non drinkers who will treat your animals, home and property with the utmost care and respect. We live on our own small farm, close to Toowoomba. We raise a few cattle and like to grow some of our own fruit (30 trees) and veggies as well as keeping hens for eggs. We enjoy our native garden, and we are experienced at mowing (both ride-on and hand mower), weeding, pruning and watering wisely. We have used Aussie House Sitters ourselves when we have needed to travel so we absolutely appreciate and understand how important it is to know that pets are loved and well cared for at all times and that your home is also treated with TLC while you are away. We prefer to travel with our King Charles Cavalier, Tuppy, when it's convenient. We also have a van which we can use if required. We both hold a Blue Card, which requires a police-check. We are very happy to provide references if required. We are equally comfortable with sitting in town, in the country, or on the Coast and would welcome your enquiries. "We chose Jean and Ben to be our house sitters for the Christmas/New Year period of 2013/14 and we certainly chose well! We were so pleased with the way they looked after our home and our 3 pets ; a 12 month old spoodle and 2 older cats.
Their dear little dog Bella came with them and our pup was thrilled to have a play companion, never leaving her alone. She tolerated his attentions with great grace, and taught him how to swim and retrieve balls and sticks from the water on the many outings to the beach and the river that Ben and Jean took them both.

When our morning flight home was cancelled, and we faced an 8-hour delay, Ben and Jean opted to stay back and ensure we were home safe before commencing their long drive home. Although we had neighbours who could have tended the animals, it was exceptionally kind and responsible of them to hang in. We were so grateful to return to a wonderfully clean and tidy home – not to mention a freshly washed dog.

So big ticks all round. They are a responsible and caring couple, Bella is gorgeous and well behaved, and all our animals were happy and well looked after. Our home was clean and tidy, nothing was out of place, the lawns were mowed and the plants watered. Ben even fashioned a birdbath out of bits around the garden - we kept it and now enjoy the many pretty and appreciative birds having a drink and splash.
