Sarah & David

Hi House Sitter Community, we are Sarah and David and we are in transit between selling and buying - relocating from Marrickville, Sydney back to Newcastle, my hometown. We are pretty new to this housesitting site but not to looking after friends and family's homes and many furry friends. We adore pets of all kinds and have had cats, dogs, birds and fish in our family most of our lives....not to mention a few other farmyard friends.
We are in the process of downsizing from Sydney back to Newcastle and David (originally from Scotland) has been in Sydney the past 25 years so he will be looking forward to a more relaxed lifestyle and closer to the beach. Happy to travel to housesit as our jobs are very flexible and no kids for us to look after.
I'm a Senior Executive Assistant with experience in property and design and I work remotely from home so I will always be on hand. David is a qualified Civil Engineer, recently retired from Local Government after 30 years and has just commenced with a government agency as a personal mentor for people in need whilst part time studying for his Masters in Primary Teaching.
We both have our paid Working with Childrens Checks and Police Check records.
We have hosted International Students in our home for the past 7 years. It's an extremely rewarding experience to open your home to young people from abroad studying in Australia. We have build lifelong friendships with our students and their families overseas and it is heartwarming to see them grow.
We have had many pets, lots of them very elderly with special medical needs. We are experienced with caring for pets that need medication or special care and we would love to look after your pets as they are our own. We are also both plant loving green thumbs and can tend to your gardens and home and treat them with love whilst you are away.
We have 2 of our own airbnb properties that we own and self manage.
Security, safety, maintaining privacy and cleanliness are top priorities. We have the experience and maturity to troubleshoot any unforseen issues that hopefully won't arise.
David and I are both super active and fit so daily pet walks and cleaning duties won't be any problem at all. We would love to hear from you. Sarah and David
