Hi! Are you looking for experienced house sitters? We are Maddie & Nic, a young couple from Germany.
We have been a couple for almost 7 years and actually met in Australia back in 2017. Now we’ll be back at the place where it all began. :)

We will be in Australia from February 2024 and would be really happy to take care of your house and pets from time to time. As we both work freelance we're mostly at home during the day and can take care of your animals. We would be more than happy to make sure your animals are getting the attention they deserve while you are away and also happy to send you photos of your pets to help ease the distance!

During our 1 year stay in New Zealand from October '22 - October '23 we did several house sits, some for a few days, some for several months. We really enjoyed it and the house sits were one of the highlights of our stay in New Zealand. You can find the linked reviews on our profile.

We are both 26 years old, very open, reliable, tidy, gentle, communicative, adventurous and almost always in a good mood. We met in Australia in 2017 and have loved traveling together ever since. Besides traveling we love photography, outdoor activities, dancing, gardening, cooking or just relaxing in the garden with a good book. We both love animals. Back in Germany we often took care of the cats and dogs of our families or friends.

As we both love gardening and Nic even worked as a green keeper for a week months during our time in NZ we're more than happy to help with any gardening chores.

We are non-smokers, both fully vaccinated and prefer a cozy night at home over a night out.

Madeleine and Nic looked after our home and three pets recently and were fantastic. They have an obvious love of animals and our pets took to them from the start. I knew they were in safe hands when our 'standoffish' feline placed herself on their laps on the first day. They kept in contact, sending regular updates and photos. I arrived home to an immaculate home and content pets. I'm looking forward to Madeleine and Nic coming back to housesit in a few months time.

Nic and Maddie are great housesitters. We communicated online beforehand and they started the sit the night before we left so we were able to cover all that needed to be done. They provided regualar updates and photos of the cat. He appears to like them more than us! Nic and Maddie are quiet and respectful and took care of a couple of matters for us. We are so happy with them that they will return to do another housesit for two months. We highly recommend them.

Our cat Dusty is extremely timid (usually he's out the back door at the slightest hint of a stranger being present) so we were initially a bit worried how he would cope.
