*Little update: I came to Australia in 2018 and remained ever since. I'm based in Sydney, where I live with my partner, Alan. I still work remotely as a translator, which makes it perfect for me to do housesitting!

I'm a 35-year-old girl from Poland and this is my story.

I dreamed about going to Australia since my studies. Back then I applied for a student exchange programme, but there were only 4 places available and I didn't get in. Nevertheless, I decided to make my dream come true and in 2015 I organized a road trip and travelled across Australia for a month. It was one of the best experiences in my life and I knew that I have to go back to this amazing country.
But then my whole world suddenly collapsed as I was dumped by my fiance and left without a job as my company went bankrupt.
You know what they say: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I started doing what I really love: translate movies and TV series, travel more and when I went to celebrate Australian Day Festival in Warsaw (Poland), I won plane tickets to Australia. Can it be any better?
Yes, it can. I moved to Australia. I met my partner - Alan, moved in with him, survived the pandemic, enjoyed my time here to the maximum ever since and whenever I can, I try housesitting, always doing my best to be the perfect carer.

When I was living with my parents, I looked after my three dogs: Mila, Lola and Yuki . Now with my partner, we often take care of my friends' dogs or look after their apartment.

I've already have some experience as a housesitter in Australia, my job allows me to move around, so I try and make my life a bit more varied by helping others. Alan was growing up with horses and dogs in Ireland and have farm experience from Australia, so we figured we might do housesits together, if only he is available.

I don't smoke, love to ride a bike and do yoga. I work via Internet (as an audiovisual translator). I speak English and Italian, know little bit of Spanish.
I'm responsible, reliable and whenever I'm trusted with something, I make sure that I do my best to make everyone happy .

We can’t praise Katarzyna and Alan more highly! Apart from being lovely people they went above and beyond their duties, having dealt with the appointments, pick up and aftercare of emergency minor surgery for our dog! Our dog, nineteen year old cat and two horses all happy and healthy upon our return , and the house spotless. They were also great at keeping us updated regularly. Thanks so much Katarzyna and Alan for allowing us to have a carefree holiday!!

Katarzyna and Alan have been fantastic and an absolute pleasure in every way! I left with complete peace of mind, knowing my house and dog would be safe with them. They were reliable, friendly, responsible and so caring and loving towards my dog! They kept in touch with messages and sent me cute photos while I was away and left the house clean and tidy. I highly reccomend them to everyone and needless to say, they are welcome back anytime!

Katerzyna was the perfect house sitter. My house was cleaner when I came home than when I left. My neurotic rescue dogs were calm and happy and my bossy cat had maintained his routine. It was perfect. Don't hesitate if you need a great sitter.
