I moved to Canberra from the states in 2014. I fell in love with Australia from my first visit in 2012/2013 when I came for the Aussie Open.
I worked in university Residential management and education for over 20 years. I left Canberra two years ago. I currently live in Brisbane. I love every opportunity I get to spend time with the pets my friends live with.
My job entailed looking out for the wellbeing of university students. This required patience, maturity, responsibility, compassion, problem solving and a fun loving spirit. These are all qualities that will allow me to look out after your home and your pets. It's in my nature to be playful and animals respond very well to that energy. I also love to give all the pats a pet could want.
I have a current police check. I am ready, willing and able to look out after your home and your furry family members.
Jamiyl was an excellent house sitter. He was very accommodating and came over twice prior to the stay to meet Winnie which made me feel more than comfortable leaving her in his care. He was very communicable, sending me pics and updates and the place was spotless when I got home. He went above and beyond. I'm definitely keeping him in mind for future stays!
Jamiyl was great with the cats, sent pictures daily and kept me updated. Left the house tidy and the cats were very content and calm when I got home. Would 1000% recommend him for looking after your fur babies and home.
Jamiyl was fantastic and would highly recommend him to everyone. He came a couple of times before we left (almost a 6 week stint) to have an initial chat and get the rundown of how everything worked. He was great with the house, the cat and his communication was superb. Having Jamiyl at home made us feel very at ease while we were away and confident that the house/pool, pet and garden were all taken care of propery. Cannot thank him enough!!
We were so lucky to have Jamiyl sit for us and our cat for a short stay. He had great communication and sent through photos and an update daily of our little cat which was much appreciated.
We came home to a very clean and tidy house, plants watered and a very happy cat! We would happily offer another sit to Jamiyl.

We loved having Jamiyl house sit for us. He took great care of our dog and the house was nice and clean upon arrival home. He went above and beyond when we decided to stay away for an extra night by offering to pop back over to feed our dog for an extra night. He was great to communicate with and sent us updates while we were away, which we loved. We'd love to have Jamiyl house sit for us again in the future.

Jamiyl was amazing. Made being away from my fur baby more relaxing knowing she was being well looked after and that she was calm and content. Was sent little updates and photos while I was away to see she was happy. Wouldn't hesitate to use Jamiyl again.
Jamiyl cared for our cats perfectly. They were completely settled once we returned home and Jamiyl sent us reassuring communication during our trip away.

Jamiyl looked after my house and pets for a little over two weeks in August 2021. He looked after the dogs well and kept in touch. Easy to talk to and very obliging, I'd be happy to have him stay again.
Jamiyl is great! Each time I go away I know my cats are in good hands! They absolutely love him. Communication is super easy and the small photo updates I get when I'm away are exactly what I need!
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
