Hello - my name is Ro (short for Roisin). I’m a fit and healthy woman, 52 years old, born and bred in Sydney. I’m an animal lover and experienced house sitter. My profile here is new because my previous sits were in early 2000s mainly gained through word-of-mouth. I can provide email references from more recent sits and phone numbers for verification.

I’ve been a pet owner my whole life and the joy of the pets is the reason I’m here. I recognise that pets are family members – the photo in my profile shows Rosie and Snatch who were my family (separately) for more than 30 years. But I no longer have any pets and house sitting is a way to remember the joy they provide.

I’ve looked after a range of homes and beautiful animals ranging from people-lovers to anxious closet-hiders. I try to provide easy relaxed company to give them what they need while you’re away and I’m happy to communicate with you throughout your time away with photos.

I enjoy low-key living with good food, exercise, reading, music and podcasts, and I’ll ensure your home is clean and tidy for your return. I work for a Sydney-based organisation with flexibility to work from home so I’d bring my computer – as well as a few flex bands for home workouts.

I’m a keen and experienced gardener and I’d be happy to look after your garden or pot plants. I revel in the purposeful experience of weed-pulling as a chance to spend time in the garden.

I appreciate housesitting from both sides. I was a long term housesitter in early 2000s and I’ve also relied on sitters to care for my pets and home while travelling. I’ve experienced the last-minute cancellation of house sitters and I know how stressful this can be - I’ll commit to reliability once we’ve agreed on the stay.
