Kerry & Stephen

We are a retired couple (Reg. Nurse and Electrician) both 67 years old. We are both fit and healthy and neither of us smoke.
We have been travelling in our van for 11 years now and in that time have minded 8 properties - all in Q'ld so far!

1. Jappoonvale FNQ
An ex cane farm and we were there for 6 weeks through the monsoon - very exciting as we were flooded in for a few days. We looked after chickens, a cat and mowed lawns and maintained gardens on a 5 acre area.

2. Mareeba
We've minded this 5 acre property for 4 years now and we love it there. We look after a dog, chickens, lawns and orchard. We usually stay here for up to 3 months at a time.

3. Yeppoon

4 acre property with no animals but beautiful gardens and greenhouse with rare orchids etc. Mowing and maintaining the stag horns and natives. We've minded this property twice for 3 months each time. Heaven!

4. Petford FNQ

A two acre property in a very isolated bush land setting. No animals but lawns and maintenance of the grounds. This property is just being established so important to keep the new trees and lawns watered and green.

KURRIMINE BEACH

We looked after this 5+ acre property over the summer of 2017/18. There was a 25 metre swimming pool to maintain as well as general mowing and maintenance. No animals except resident tree snakes and geckos. A fantastic experience for us and we loved everything about it!


COOKTOWN

We spent a month here on the Endeavour River. A very wild month with flooding and cyclonic conditions. Loved it!

BOMBEETA FNQ

This property was in the middle of a cane farm and we were here for six weeks - they had a thirty year old cockatoo who was extremely entertaining. We love Far North Queensland so again, we were very happy to explore and enjoy this unique opportunity.

MOGGILL Brisbane

We initially came to this semi rural acreage for 6mths but came back for another six months due to the owners changed circumstances. The pandemic threw a massive spanner in the works and we are still here and will be until October 2021 - again, even after two and a half years, we wouldn't have changed a thing.
Update: we will now be here until late January 2022

We usually stay in our van as we are self contained with toilet, shower etc but it is lovely to hook up to power when it gets over 30!


We both enjoy travelling, country life and exploring new
locales - we also live a very quiet life and enjoy reading, swimming and walking.

Unfortunately our two little dogs are no longer with us so it's just us and our van!
