Mature Aussie Housesitter

68, Retired

I am a mature aged, nonsmoking, responsible, retired single male who likes to spend half the year in Bali (May to October) and the other half here in Australia, house sitting. Bali didn't happen in 2020 and probable won't in 2021 so I'm available for housesitting all year round at the moment.

I've been housesitting for about a year now, initially with my long term partner, but due to health issues I'm now on my own.

Over the years I have had my own pets but these days it's yours I want to love up on. I have my own transport (just a small car) and I prefer longer stays. I am happy with looking after both cats and dogs, simple gardening chores will not be a problem, but I have no experience with farm animals.

Garry was easy to communicate with and very obliging with any changes in routine. He left the house very clean and the cat nicely routined. He was prompt in his arrival and the transition was effortless - he's obviously very experienced at house-sitting. I would be very happy to have Garry look after my place again. I suspect he probably enjoyed the ripening figs in the garden as well!

Garry did a great job looking after our two cats, house and garden. Our fur babies were well looked after, and house was clean and used linen was washed and on the line when I returned. Would recommend Garry for any House sits.

Garry spent 8 days looking after our fur babies while we were away. Upon return, the house was as we left it. The cats and dog were happy and healthy. Garry provided updates each time we have requested it. We have planted some fresh plants not long before our departure and Garry watered them for us, to make sure they establish well. He was prompt to reply when we contacted him, I only wish we'd shown Garry how to use the zero turn mower as it had finally rained and the grass was long when we got home. We hadn't asked Garry to do this as it hadn't rained in so long, I would definitely recommend Garry to house sit.
