I am a single house/pet sitter with a variety of experience in both short and long term positions.
This role I have been enjoying for 10 years now, sits ranging from a 15 month sit caring for 1 dog, 3 months house-sit caring for 1 pomeranium, 7 weeks caring for 2 cats, or a short term of just a long weekend.
I am respectful of your home and contents, a non-smoker, non-drinker, I enjoy gardening, walking and reading.
I was raised in the country and have cared for a wide variety of animals and pets.
I am just as comfortable in city and suburbs with indoor pets.
I have endorsements and references on this site and several contacts of people I have done house and pet sitting for who are willing to speak on my behalf.

Margaret is a very thoughtful and trustworthy house sitter. When we returned our house was spotless and our dog was very healthy and happy. She obviously cared for our house and dog a lot. She provided many updates and photos for us during our trip. Happy to recommend Margaret.
Margaret did a great job looking after our cat, and also our dog with short notice. She kept us updated on how things were going, and I came home to a house that I think was cleaner than when I left! Would welcome Margaret for future housesits and would recommend to others.

Margaret was a pleasure to deal with from the start. Very experienced house sitter, and it showed. She was able to quickly grasp how my house and pets were to be cared for, and what systems were in place. The house was spotless on my return, and most importantly, my greyhound was well looked after - happy and relaxed. I would recommend Margaret to any potential house host.

The dates of the sit was changed at the last minute due to all the covid restrictions and the possibility of border closures. Margaret was very accommodating with all the changes. Our puppy Minnie was in excellent hands on her first weekend without Mum and Dad. We missed her more than she missed us. We came home to a happy pup and a clean and tidy home, Margaret had even washed and hung out her bed linen. Would recommend Margaret

It was lovely meeting Margaret before the house sit and I felt very comfortable leaving the house and pets in her capable care. Communication was easy and Margaret also dealt calmly with a blackout while we were away. The cats and goat were relaxed and happy when we returned and the house was spotless. Just a phone call gave me enough confidence to book Margaret to look after our German Shepherd and home while we were away.

We were lucky enough to have Margaret come and house sit for us and look after our dog Rosie on two occasions. Firstly over Christmas 2015 and then again for a week in January 2016. Both times Margaret was very reliable, easy to communicate with, cared for Rosie beautifully and left our house in spotless condition. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Margaret for a future house sit and hopefully we'll get here back to our place at some point!
Margaret was our house and pet sitter for our two dogs and one cat for ten days.
