Hello there,
We are a well traveled, German family- Franzi, 36, David, 38, and our two girls (4 and 6 years). We are looking for a lovely, safe, property to house sit, garden, pet sit and do some farm work during our holidays this November
through to October 2024.
David is a certified dog trainer and Franzi grew up in the countryside, caring for many kinds of animals and her cats. Both of us have experience in horse, dog, cat and bird sitting, including walking and exercising horses and dogs, cleaning the barn as well as doing indoor, domestic chores like cooking tasty German food for our hosts, doing dishes, etc.
During our holidays in December/January 2020 we enjoyed our house sitting in Queensland, Sunshine Coast like a little round trip at several places. We started in North Deep Creek where we looked after a beautiful farm with cows, horses, chickens, dogs, a goldfish and the veggie gardens during a dry season. Afterwards we have been invited to look after a cat and a really lovely town house with it's beautiful plants in Brisbane during Christmas. We finished our trip with some local volunteer work and caring for a family house in Traveston, near Noosa with a little dog, a cat, goats, a bird and the gardens with jummy mango trees.
In 2016 at our first visit in Australia we participated in a Help Exchange program for 5 months in Pakenham Upper, Victoria, Australia, at a gorgeous, 15-acre, organic hobby farm where we looked after 6 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a 4 bedroom home. The property was surrounded by bush and other farms with lovely owners and it's how we fell in love with Australia!

'We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting Franzi and David at our farm. They are a lovely young couple and pleasant to be around. Franzi was excellent with the horses- she gave them daily medicine and grooming and took them for walks as well as tended to them for vet/dental visits. David loved our 3 dogs and did a lot of training with 2 of them, took them on walks and played with them. Both are great domestic workers too- kept the house clean and they gave farm work a go with cutting grass, gardening, painting and did a fine job. They helped out during meal times and enjoyed the remoteness of our farm which enabled them to experience what it is like to be part of a rural farm family. We recommend them!'

It was such a pleasure having Franzi and David housesit for us and look after our two doggies. We couldn’t have asked for more caring, attentive and polite house sitters. Franzi and David had their beautiful daughters and dog Samy with them, but the house was so clean when we returned that it was like they weren’t even here!
We couldn’t recommend Franzi and David more highly and would love to have them house sit for us again.
