We are self-funded retirees - we sold our home 20 years ago and travelled Australia for four years but now we live in our caravan all year round and winter on our block in Queensland and travel in our caravan during the summers - we have owned our own homes and had dogs, cats, bunnies & guinea pigs when our kids were small. We are non-smokers and fit and healthy. We have our own mobile phones and internet modems as long as there is Telstra 4G and Optus. We can be contacted on Skype if meeting you in person is sometimes a bit difficult. I like gardening, cooking, sewing and Yoga and Hector, who was raised on a farm, is a handyman who can turn his hand to most things and he likes to play golf. We would care for your home, gardens and animals as if they were our own. We have several references from house-, farm- and dog-sits we've done over the years which can be attached if you contact us. Hec and Jennie did an excellent job of looking after the house and our animals - they were caring and extremely thoughtful towards us personally and our animals. The house was tidier when we returned than when we left. All of us were sorry to see them go.
Jennie and Hec were Awesome Housesitters. They looked after our home and our very much loved and spoilt miniature schnauzers. We were overseas and had daily updates which was so good. Jennie and Hec came to look after our pets, house and large garden for 5 weeks (December 2024 - January 2025). We couldn’t have been happier with their care for our house and garden but particularly for their genuine care and love of our dogs and cat.

We feel so fortunate to have found Jennie and Hec to look after our home and animals for 2 weeks. The care they showed was evident in a very happy dog, and our shy cat even came out for pats! Our home was immaculate and the garden cared for. Great communication and just lovely people. We look forward to having them back to house-sit for us again in the future.
Jenni and Hec were the most reliable, honest and friendly house sitters and from the first meeting we felt secure. We came home to our loved fur babies totally at ease, the garden was a delight even though very hot weather had been experienced and we believe their time in our home was enjoyable. Jennie and Hector took such great care of our fur babies, Bella the cat and Milly the dog. They also watered the garden and mowed the lawn as needed which we are very grateful for. Jennie and Hec took great care of the pets, house and yard. We were able to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing our mob were safe and well cared for. We had Jennifer and Hector house sit over Xmas and new year and look after our fur babies and the python that is in a tank. Such a lovely couple. They kept us up-to-date with everything, sent pics of our fur babies and communication was very open. Jenni and Hec are house sitters from heaven. They are experienced, thoughtful and caring. Our house and animals benefited from their care. They stayed on with us for a few days on our return (they have a caravan) and were a delight to have around. So helpful and lots of fun. I hope they can come again soon. New friends. Jenni and Hector were fantastic Housesitters. They parked their trailer van in a nice shady spot and I felt like they had been there forever. They looked after everything during two very hot weeks so it was very reassuring to know that my garden was being watered and animals cared for.

Jennie and Hector were excellent housesitters and we can definitely recommend them. They looked after our property probably better than us and went above and beyond to help out where they could and even asked us for a 'to do' list of jobs to be done around the property to help us out while we were away. Jennie and Hec looked after out menagerie like it was their own. In the roughly 4 weeks we were away they fed and cared for a dozen goats, three horses, 3 cats and kittens (many!), a dog, chooks ( and then chicks!) and a cockatiel. They gave our neglected garden some much needed tender- loving care, and completed many little jobs such as fixing our screen door so it shut properly. Wow, what a great team. Jennie and Hec looked after our house like it was their own. They also provided a wonderful companionship for Mum whilst we were away. Hec even mowed the lawns! Thanks to a wonderful couple for a superb house sit. Use them again? You bet!!
