We are total petlovers, non smoking, happily pet cuddling around the world in our retirement. We enjoy the pet companionship and change of scenery and pace. We have been full time sitting now in our 15th year. Very proud of our 5 star ratings and many repeat bookings where we have made some lovely friends, both furry and human. We hope to continue adding more.

My working background has included working for the Metropolitan Police and as Security Officer for blue chip companies. For these jobs I have been well vetted. I tackle my house sit "jobs" with the same professionalism as when I was working.

My partner retired after 43 years working for Norwich Uni and continued to work two jobs, as a gardener and as driver for Hertz car rentals after early retirement.
Now fully retired we pet sit full time,in UK for nominal payment but travel for free.

We have made many friends doing this and going back to Newcastle NSW or Cairns is for us like going home. No family ties means we can commit and no worries about family emergencies.

******We do require use of a vehicle please. We pay a great deal in travel expenses, site fees, accommodation, but cannot afford to hire a car as well. This is not to galavant around but to take your dogs to the beach, for emergency vet trips and shopping mainly,*******

All pets are fun to be around, lively,big or small, we love them all.

Anita and Laurie Recently house that for me at Kewarra Beach Far North Queensland. Their main task was to look after Honey, my beautiful big American Staffy. Made friends with honey immediately, and being a kind gentle people there they are, she was In very good hands. They took her down to the beach every day. AND Send me photos daily! Anita and Laurie kept the house and Garden spick and span.

I recommend them to you and Have booked them again for November.

Laurie and Anita could not have been better house sitters. Coming home to an immaculate house was wonderful and my dog was so happy and healthy. She and Laurie seemed to have bonded so well.
I made a mistake with the date I would be returning and Anita and Laurie worked it so they could split their next assignment to help me out. Thank goodness for them.
They are both very caring people.
I have no hesitation in recommending them and am happy to do so if anyone wants to phone me for a verbal referral.

Anita and Laurie were fantastic home and pet minders. They obviously have a love of animals, and my pets felt comfortable with them right away. Even my newly acquired (previously stray) cat was happy and content. They had also to contend with feeding my multiple wild birds, and Laurie didn't mind at all the cockatoos jumping on his shoulder!
Anitia and Laurie left the house tidier than they found it! They are a very pleasant, trustworthy couple who take pride in doing an excellent job looking after other peoples' homes. Cheers!

Hi Laurie- before you migrate to warmer climes for the winter- we wanted to thank you so very much for taking such good care of Lily & Mabel, the chicks and the fish tank for us while we were away. I just wanted to say how extremely happy we were with Anita & Laurie whilst they looked after our dogs and house in Cairns over the 2017 Xmas period. I was feeling quiet hesitant being a first time using of a house sitting website. Upon meeting both Anita & Laurie I could see how much love they had for animals. They were both so easy going and approachable and answered all my questions and concerns and put my mind at ease. Our dogs took to them straight away.
While away we were kept up to date with photos of our dogs. We came home to a very clean and tidy house and two very happy dogs.
I would highly recommend both Anita & Laurie and hope to have them back in the future.

Anita and Lawrence were outstanding, a truly wonderful pair. We are new to Cairns and were extremely anxious about leaving our beautiful boys even just for 1 night. The moment I met them, I felt comfortable instantly and could see how experienced they are with animals, our boys took a liking to them straight away and the house sit was a huge success. My partner and I recieved photos and updates a and returned home to find our dogs very happy, very relaxed, they were clearly well pampered whilst we were away. The house was spotless and we could not be more pleased. I will definitely be using Anita and Lawrence again the next time we go away and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. THEIR REVIEW OF YOU: Anita and Laurie were wonderful house sitters and delightful and completely trustworthy couple. We returned from our vacation to find our cat well pampered and the house was immaculate with fresh sheets on the beds and fresh flowers. The garden was regularly watered and Laurie mowed our lawns too and attended to some well overdue garden cleanup in our absence. Anita and Laurie also left food in the fridge such as an evening meal, bread and milk on our return which was so thoughtful. Anita kept us updated throughout our vacation with photos of our cat and a report on the house- Great communication. Highly recommend this couple who clearly love animals and take pride in looking after other peoples houses. Would definitely invite them back. Thanks Anita and Laurie.

Anita sat for us previously in our last flat, so when she applied for this sit, we accepted instantly!! Our dog, Charlie, was so excited to see her and we knew that he was in good hands. We were so pleased that Anita agreed to stay in Badalona a few extra days to do another short sit - which turned out to be slightly longer than we expected! Add flexible to the long list of good qualities! When we had to fly back a day later than planned, Anita stayed longer than was originally agreed to make sure our dog, Charlie, wasn't upset at being left. When we arrived home, not only did we find a happy dog and a lovely clean, tidy house, but all of the bedding had been washed and hung out to dry as well. Thank you so much!

Recently had Laurie and Anita house sit for us while we traveled overseas. We had 2 dogs and 2 cats to care for so not a small ask!! We had regular updates from our babies which was much appreciated and our babies were spoilt rotten. Our house and gardens were also well cared for. Laurie and Anita looked after our property and our cockatiel Monty in March 2023. They did a
fantastic job. The house was spotless when we returned home and our cockatiel was very happy as
he had lots of attention when we were away. They went above and beyond expectations cleaning up
the yard and the pool after a massive storm which we really appreciated.
I have no hesitation recommending them for any future house sits and we will certainly invite them

Anita and Laurie were great to deal with and made our first experience with Trusted House Sitters fantastic. Given they are highly sought after, we were very lucky to have them look after our house and pets. When we returned the house was spotless and the pets were happy and healthy.
