Sadly my husband passed away very recently so I am now a single house sitter.As you may have noticed from our previous profile we joined Aussie house sitters pre Covid and had many happy house sits together.
I haven't edited my entire profile as our reasons for signing up haven't changed although my main region to house sit is now confined primarily to Melbourne and Geelong /Torquay region as my two adult sons live in these places

We signed up to Aussie House sitters as we would like to have the pleasure and enjoyment of caring for other people's animals while experiencing staying in a new environment and interacting with new people. We are first timers to this website but not first-timers to house sitting.
We had a cocker spaniel for 14 years while our children were growing up and although we want to get another dog we have decided to postpone this event until we have finished travelling, be it in Australia or overseas. We felt that house sitting other people's animals allowed us to have the animal interaction we are missing at the moment.
We had a genuine love for all animals together and I still have this affinity ,more especially with dogs who provide such wonderful companionship.
Graeme had a real affinity with dogs in particular, always greeting a dog first before human contact! This was always quite a joke amongst our friends.

I am a retired teacher and my husband was a retired solicitor. We have lived in Sydney all our married life and own our home. I am very house proud and consequently I can assure you I will look after your home like my own.
I am very happy to get a police check should you require one, if I am lucky enough to look after your animal/s and home. I feel this will help you feel confident that you have a trustworthy and honest person caring for your pet/s and home.

No rating Deborah and Graeme looked after our pets and our home for 10 days in Dec 2017 to Jan 2018. We cannot speak highly enough of them as wonderful, caring house sitters and pet minders. What could have been a fairly simple house-sitting arrangement, quickly became much harder when our Labrador Bonnie became ill with a huge infection on the side of her face. Deborah and Graeme were amazing. They took Bonnie to the emergency vet, then to our regular vet - 3 trips all up. They bathed her oozing ... MORE

Deborah house sat for us for a prebooked trip to remote Indonesia, with specific care requirements for 1 of our 2 pooches who was recovering from major hip surgery following a car accident. She took this role on with grace and was intensely rigorous with her care for the patient and the older dog who also required managing. Deborah and Graeme looked after our house and dog for a week and we would highly recommend. The house was left spotless and i think our dog was disappointed when they left. They walked her twice a day and nugget loved the company and attention. We will definitely get Deborah and Graeme again if they are available. Deborah and Graham were very clear and responsible, a lovely couple to deal with. Our confidence was well founded. They looked after our home and cats fabulously. No rating Recently enjoyed a holiday away to Thailand. We needed a house sitter to look after our fur baby Tilly, and our home in Melbourne! Deborah and Graeme came to house-sit. I was over the moon with the effort they put in to making us feel happy and relaxed on our holiday. We received emails every few days with photos of Tilly snuggling up to Graeme. No rating I consider myself very lucky to have had Deborah and Graeme to look after my house and 2 dogs while I went on holiday. I have just returned to two very unstressed, contented dogs and a most beautifully clean and tidy house.
