As a self-employed Architect and Builder I understand the importance of being organized, reliable, professional, and honest. My work patterns mean that I typically wfh several days a week, with a few days on-site or teaching thrown in.
I am experienced with animal care, having always grown up surrounded by pets such as dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, fish, axolotls, bearded dragons, and many more... I would love to have my own, but as I am currently transitioning back into Sydney after studying and working in the U.S.A. for the last 8 years, looking after yours is a great interim solution.
I am a non-smoker, fully vaccinated, and do my best to stay fit and active. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the city, wandering galleries, chipping away at my never-ending pile of books to read, and working on side projects.

We recently travelled overseas for 5 weeks and asked James to house sit/look after our English Staffy, Marley. Prior to this trip, we met James at a local park, at our home and made a plan for James to look after Marley over a weekend to see if they were a good fit for one another.

James was very personable and easy to communicate with and looked after my dog, Kelly, house and garden really well and with no issues. It was great to be away knowing that I could rely on James to look after Kelly and my house. I would definitely recommend James to anyone looking for someone they can rely on.
James was the perfect house-sitter! I arrived home to a spotless house and a very happy dog. I was a little nervous about leaving my dog as he has had some recent health issues, but I felt very comfortable having James look after him. Communicating with James in the lead-up to the sit was a breeze and he also kept in touch while I was away. James is a dream sitter; I don't have enough words to express how wonderful it was having him take care of our cats and home while we were away. James was amazing. He made sure we met before we left, getting to know our critters and our preferences for house and pet care. James did an excellent job. The house was very clean and tidy on our return and the garden was in good shape. He looked after our menagerie very well, which included dogs, chickens, birds and fish, quite a responsibility! He is a good communicator and responded quickly whenever we made contact. We were very fortunate to have James pet sit for us in our unit for two weeks looking after our four cats. We found him to be a very friendly, polished and well educated person and felt immediately at ease with him when we met him. James was the perfect find for our house-sit. A calm nature that perfectly suited our nervous cat, while an obvious eagerness to pat the more confident puss. Our home was super tidy when we returned and the bedding washed. It was as if we'd only been out of the house for a few hours rather than a few days.
