I am a retired high school teacher. My current interests include studying Spanish, travelling, gardening, reading, music & keeping fit (mainly through a walking program).
I have had animal companions throughout my entire life (mainly dogs, cats, birds & poultry). I respect & love all creatures great & small, & these days miss being in the company of animals as where I live now is not really suitable (I have downsized)
I like to maintain a clean & tidy environment in my own home & would do the same in yours.

Why I want to house sit
I want to house sit because I enjoy embracing new experiences in a different locale and, above all, I enjoy caring for animals & the companionship they have to offer. I am also a member of 'Trusted Housesitters' & have done many house sits through this organisation with good reviews (which I can show you). Most of these sits have been on acreages, some including horses. I bring this experience along with many years of looking after my own residences & always having animals until recently. Before my current residence I owned & lived on a 31 acre property in Northern NSW (Cawongla) where I agisted cattle & also had 2 dogs & a cat. All my beautiful animal companions have eventually died from old age.
I can provide character references and a National Police Check Certificate is available on request.
I am very respectful of my living environment & will keep your property clean & tidy. I live a quiet lifestyle & choose to spend most of my time at home so I would be content to simply stay at yours & enjoy looking after the welfare of your animals.

It was a pleasure to have Linda stay at our acreage property and look after our house and dog while we were away. Linda took the time to come meet us and our pet before the sit, spending time telling us about herself, getting to know us, the property and the dog. This made us feel relaxed and comfortable about entrusting Linda to look after our pet and property. Linda was a fantastic house and animal sitter. On my return, I found contented animals. The house was kept spotlessly clean. Linda's communication was excellent. She takes her job very seriously. I recommend her for any house-sitting position she would apply for. I would have her back any time. On a score from 1 to 10, Linda receives a very high 11, wonderful, Linda is the perfect person to look after a house and our dogs/horses.
