I am a responsible, organised and tidy person. Besides giving your pets all the love and care they deserve I keep your house neat and clean, collecting post, watering and caring for gardens/veggie patches and trouble-shooting any immediate concerns, so you can totally relax on your holiday and know that everything is taken care of.
I love animals, their company and affection. Having lost my own beautiful 20yr old Tonkinese cat three years ago, I'm currently choosing to experience some travel, but still crave the love and companionship of animals until I'm ready to have another of my own.
I grew up on an eco-property on the NSW South Coast and have experience with many animals - horses, cattle, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds - to name a few. I have had the loving companionship of 5 cats, 4 horses, 2 dogs and a hand-raised calf.
I moved to Queensland in mid 2019, a long held dream to make a sea change. By housesitting I hope to explore more of the Sunshine and Fraser Coasts, and further afield. I have had a house and two apartments - a homeowner for more than 20 years, but am currently choosing to explore the freedom and travel of house sitting.
This is why I love to take care of your home and pets. With practical experience and my solution-oriented nature I have developed over the years, I can provide you with a high level of comfort and service, so you can relax fully, enjoy your holiday and return to happy pets and a welcoming home.
My interests include daily meditation, yoga, swimming, sailing, cycling and a little Pinot Noir :)
I have house sit experience with: cats, dogs, horses, birds, snakes, chooks, aquarium fish, aquaponics fish, indoor and outdoor plants, composting loo's, water tanks and worm farms.
Many of the house sits I am engaged in are now repeat customers - 4th, 5th and 6th times I have sat for homeowners on the Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay for extended sits.
I write and teach online, so I do need a quality Wi-Fi signal, I have my own car with a good driving record, am a non-smoker and vaccinated. I can provide references from my 2019-2021 rental tenancy, as well as personal recommendations and a 2019 Police Check Certificate.

This was our first time having a house/pet sitter and Jen Maree was absolutely fantastic! She is so lovely and always replies quickly to any messages. We can tell our cat and dog felt safe and loved with her :) Mollie (dog) had lots of exercise and play time, and she expertly took care of Peanut (cat) when he got a bit of a runny bum. The house was super tidy/clean when we returned and I couldn't recommend her enough!
I could not have asked for a better house/pet sitter. Communication from Jen was prompt, efficient and easy from the get-go.
The place was left immaculate and pups were very happy and healthy upon return.
Communication while away was quick and easy, giving me regular updates.

Jen Maree was The perfect house sitter for us. Our cat Ziggy was spoiled with lots of cuddles and brushing from Jen Maree. A very warm and friendly person. A very positive 10 out of 10! The house was spotless when we got home which was wonderful. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Jen Maree for any house sitting and or pet sitting.
