Melina & Julian

Hey there! We're Melina and Julian, a warm-hearted, trustworthy couple from Argentina. We are travelling through Australia, currently Melbourne based, after a one year Working Holiday pet sitting in New Zealand. We're excited to continue to enjoy Australia while caring for furbabies.

We are huge animal lovers, our family pets include cats, chickens, turtles, rabbits, birds, hamsters, pigs, horses, and even a whole pack of dogs!
A pet's company is extremely valuable to us, and house sitting is the way we found to share most of our time with them on the time that we're away from our babies.
Additionally, we love nature and plant care, so we would love to take care of your garden too :)

We carry a responsible and healthy lifestyle. We like living in an organized and clean environment, so we will respect and maintain your home as we would ours.

We will keep you updated with photos and messages, as much or as little as you prefer. We can assure you that we truly care about doing our job right.

A bit more about us:

Julian: I've always had one foot in the science and tech world, but the other is deeply rooted in the countryside, with a strong connection to nature and animals. Growing up both in the beautiful Iberá Natural Reserve and a small town near the capital, I developed a genuine love for the outdoors. From milking cows, herding livestock, and exploring the wild to swimming in streams teeming with yacarés and watching capybaras, my days were filled with adventure and wonder.
In the city, I learned the art of carpentry and masonry from my grandpa, which deepened my appreciation for wood and hand tools. This hands-on experience, alongside my firm passion for science, literature, and poetry, has been my life's compass. It's been quite a journey, from quality control in pharmaceutical labs to operating a particle accelerator for crafting radiopharmaceuticals. But what ties it all together is my love for living beings, nature, and the craft of bringing science and craftsmanship to life.

Melina: My childhood filled with chihuahuas and cats has made my heart (and my lap) always have a place for furry creatures... a dream of a beautiful house with a thriving garden, with all sorts of animals, big trees and plants always lives within me.
I absolutely adore cooking, singing, and fitness, but my truest passion is the practicality of knowledge. I love researching about any and every topic that can make mine and other's life quality better, like neuroscience, mental and physical health, and sustainable cooking and living. I believe that every opportunity to learn is an opportunity to grow and to become a better human being, and this, to me, is the key to enjoying life. I am excited to continue the travelling adventures with my love, meeting new people, and having the privilege to care and be with animals.
