After travelling around the NT, WA and northern NSW, we are now focused on travel in Far North Queensland for the winter. Looking for a housesit in Cairns during October.
We have been blessed with some wonderful house sits, meeting some friendly people and caring for some loving pets.
We have family in Cairns and we love Townsville and are always happy to housesit in those areas.
About us- I am a retired High School Teacher and currently a Marriage Celebrant.
Jon is a retired accountant.
We share our passion for family, animals, travel, sailing, adventure and good times.
Looking forward to new travels throughout 2024 to whatever destination adventure takes us.

I was so lucky to have Nancy and Jon stay at my house for 3wk whilst I was in hospital. I was most worried about my best friend Nyx, but with Nancy and Jon here I had no worries at all. What a relief! They loved my Nyx like she was their own. They spoilt her, and played with her, and made her life more than pleasant. Nancy and Jon were great house sitters and most of all caring and loving pet sitters. They took great care of our 2 small dogs with walks, company, cuddles, fed, gave medication to one nappy on another etc. Nothing was too hard! Nancy sent through updates and a daily photo. The fish and bird were also looked after and the house was left clean and tidy. Would recommend Nancy and Jon and would have them back again if they were available. Thanks again

Nancy and Jon are a wonderful couple who cared for our fur babies with so much love and care. We received updates and beautiful photos from them of our cats and little dog.Our home was spick and span on our return. Our little dog Blinky is still missing them. I highly recommend them, and hopefully we will be able to get them back for our next trip.

Nancy and Jon were absolutely lovely! They went out of their way to come over for a meet and greet before the sit so we could feel comfortable and go over things in person. Our fur babies looked like they were very well spoilt and enjoyed their time going on walks and having cuddles, which is exactly what we wanted! Nancy and Jon were fantastic housesitters. The communication levels pre during and post the sit have been perfect. My staffy (Bluey) who can be a bit neurotic at times and definitely suffers separation anxiety, had a ball with them. He even wanted to sleep on the floor in their room, rather than on his own bed - so they moved the bed in. Fantastic care of everything. Kept in contact while we were away.cats were very happy and spoiled. Lovely to meet them before we went away so much in common. Nancy & Jon very friendly & very approachable they communicated a couple of times a week with photos & texts to keep us updated on Irwin. Our 17 year old cat was probably in the best condition (he usually gets a bit anxious & will lick himself bald in a few spots) we have seen him in after being housesat which means he must have felt relaxed & calm having Nancy & Jon looking after him. Nancy and Jon far exceeded my expectations of what a house sitter would be. We came home to a beautifully clean home and our dogs were so loved and even better behaved upon our return. I would have no hesitations in recommending them to anyone else looking for kind, loving and considerate couple to take care of your house and animals. How lucky we were to find John and Nancy who cared so well for our home and most importantly our animals. The dogs are loveable but can be rogues. Communication was excellent, and they put our minds at ease as first timers, by visiting prior and also keeping us up to date during our trip with texts and photos. A lovely couple who we felt very comfortable with from the start. We came home to a sparkling clean home and happy animals, and we hope we can entice them to return in the future.

Nancy and Jon are amazing sitters, they sent through lots of pictures of the dogs (the pups were very happy) we are always a little nervous leaving the dogs, but they made it very easy! The dogs loved them.....and they looked after the house as if it was their own! I would highly recommend, and would definitely have them back again!

Nancy and Jon are a fun couple who took great care of our geriatric dog and of our house while we were away for three weeks, and communicated often with anecdotes and photos. Happy dog, clean house, tended gardens. Couldn't ask for more Highly recommended and we wish they were available for our next trip away.
