Luke & Elviira

Elviira and myself are an easy-going, friendly couple. We have been pet sitting full time since early 2015, during which time we have developed a very good reputation. We started out by volunteering with a company named Allpet Housesitters. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them and then in the beginning of this 2019 we took what we learned from and started petsitting independendantly.

Doing this for so long has really heightened our sense of connection with animals. It's really amazing how every one of them is unique in their own way... they never cease to amaze us.

We know how important it is to communicate with home owners while they're away. We always try our best provide peace of mind to know their Fur Babies are being well looked after. We are always sending plenty of photos with the occasional video as well. We care for pets as if they are our own with so much love.

We maintain a tidy house and make that extra effort for the final clean before leaving, which can be a bigger job than one might think as we are very thorough.

While caring for the animals we believe strongly in positive reinforcement, as we feel that smacking pets is never necessary. Anything your pet/s need we do our upmost best to provide.

We have taken pets to the vet on many occasions. here are few examples:

You could say that Magnus became somewhat famous when he sadly got bone cancer... he had a bucket list which drew some attention. He just melted our hearts, he was such an incredible Greyhound. We gave him around the clock attention and had to have vet visits a few times with him.... if you search Magnus Greyhound Bucket list you should be able to find him.

Our temporary dog had symptoms which we strongly thought had to be checked out (with owners permission). The owner had told us he'd had these symptoms for many years and to make a long story short, it turned out he had a life threatening illness. So $5000 later and a few stitches, I'm proud to say his life was greatly prolonged.
The owners didnt hesitate to pay all that money to the vet... this is how important pets are to people. They're part of the family. They were grateful we caught it in time and we were all relieved the operation was a success.

During an outting our pooch suddenly started losing his balance, walking sideways and kept falling over. In this case we had no time to ask the owners, we just picked him up and rushed him to the nearest vet and contacted them when we arrived.
The vet said it was probably an allergic reaction from a Bee sting (we didn't see any bees around, but the guess was he stepped on one). It was a very scary experience, one we hope to never experience again... But we are prepared if it does.

All of our lovely pets are our number 1 priority.

Luke and Elviira were fantastic! They let me know when they were in residence and sent me regular updates while I was away. It was very reassuring to know they were taking such good care of Mac & Beau.

They even took the time to buy a special product and clean Beau's ears each day when they noticed there was a problem.

I came home to a house that was much cleaner than when I left with a fabulous bunch of flowers (and a bottle of wine) on the dining room table! Was such a lovely surprise.

I hope that Luke and Elviira are still around when I need your services next time. I would definitely opt to have them look after Mac and Beau again.

Dear office team , Elviira & Luke looked after our house & dogs for eight days & did a fantastic job . House was spotless when we returned home , garden looked great , lawn was as green as ever . Dogs , we opened the back door to let them in & they run past us looking for Elviira & Luke , they did not miss us one bit, they had it good . A very nice touch was a vase of flowers on the table & a note saying there were some home made chocolate cakes in the fridge & they were delicious . They also left a 2 page report on the dogs antics & other things they thought we would like to know .

I arrived home to an immaculate house and two relaxed and happy dogs! I was really impressed at how well Luke and Elviira looked after my two 15year old boys. Oscar has arthritis and Felix has dementia and intermittent stomach problems so I was concerned about leaving them. Luke and Elviira were able to communicate (through Whatsapp) about any issues that arose and what needed to be done to address them. I had a wonderful time away as I realised they were in very capable hands and enjoying themselves immensely. I will certainly request their services next time. Thank you Allpets
