We are a Dutch (Hans) Australian (Natasha) couple based in Brisbane.
We met each other in late 2015 in the Netherlands, Europe. Everything moved rapidly from there on. We moved in an apartment together, where we really got to know each other. Although our life in Europe was great, we decided life could be even more fun at the other side of the globe. In September 2018 we migrated to Australia. We travelled for 3 months from WA up to the top end, down to the red centre and up again to the tropics before settling down in Brisbane for 8 months. We absolutely enjoyed Brisbane and the sub-tropical laidback lifestyle it brings. Due to career opportunities we moved to Sydney in August 2019. Sydney has been fast paced living and a lot of fun. Now the opportunity has come forward for us to relocate again, back to Brisbane. From the moment we left Europe the plan has always been to settle down in Brisbane, it fits our needs in life perfectly. Sydney was great and we embrace all the good friends we have made, but the plan was always to return back to Brisbane. We enjoy travelling, camping, hiking, sightseeing and lots of other things, the good life!
We have enjoyed our housesitting adventure so far, and created an amazing profile that holds over 75 excellent reviews. Feedback is very important to achieve a high level of service, and constantly improve the way we care for your pets and provide security for your house, attend your beloved garden and so much more.
We are responsible, organized and tidy people. We have had the pleasure of housesitting with dogs, cats, chickens, horses, ginea pigs and goldfish. Besides giving your pets all the love and care they deserve we provide a service that includes keeping your house tidy and clean, garden work (hedge cutting, lawn mowing, edge cutting, pruning of veggie beds) and pool maintenance (filter cleaning, adding chloride/acid and pool samples testing).
We both love animals, we just love the company and affection they give. We have had one occasion without pets, and it made us feel like we were missing something.
Natasha had many pets back in Australia. Dogs, cats, fish, birds and rabbits. She also house sitted in England and the Netherlands. Natasha worked as a nanny looking after twins and a third child. They had a big house not far from London, with pets and a garden. Her job was to run the household and make sure that everything went perfect.
Besides her recommendations from the UK, we also have recommendations for us together on this website, still growing as we progress. Feel free to roam our reviews and to learn what other people have to say about us. These people have given us the chance to prove we are excellent house sitters. Out of necessity in March 2020 we can also provide proof of good behavior from our rental apartment in Petersham, Sydney.
By housesitting we have had the chance to explore almost every nook and cranny in Brisbane, it's a beautiful laidback city with a welcoming vibe. Sydney is a large city packed with fun and different cultures, and offers a different quality of life. We feel privileged having spent time in both cities.
By housesitting we get to enjoy many different suburbs, meet awesome people and become comfortable with the city. It started out to save money as we look for jobs, then the plan was to rent a house. But after completing one housesit we were hooked, and we discovered this is the way to fast track our goal to save and buy our own house. One day this will all come to an end, when we reach our goal. What we are certain of is that we will also be looking for house sitters to return the favor when we go on a holiday.
This is why we are house sitters, and we love taking care of your home and pets. With our experience and knowledge we have developed over the years, we can provide you with a high level of comfort and service. We aim to provide you a careless holiday or business trip.

The puppies run eagerly to them when they come through the door - we know the puppies love them and will be well cared for. Hans mowed the lawn for us this time!! Which was much appreciated. Cannot speak highly enough of Hans & Natasha. I was impressed from the off with their prompt communication & upon meeting them further reassured our French bulldogs were in good, experienced hands.
They were receptive and respectful of our house rules and we came back to an immaculate house and 2 very content dogs.
If you are fortunate enough to have them available to sit for you, you will be not be disappointed. We will be contacting them when we next go away without a doubt.

From the moment we met Hans and Natasha our feeling was they were the right people to care for our two dogs and look after our home. We had many offers from Sitters so it was not easy to decide . We hit the jackpot with them.
During our time away we made contact several times and although we missed our dogs Norman and Millie , it became apparent Hans and Natasha had bonded with our dogs .
On return home we found our home just as we had left it . More importantly for us Norman ... MOREJACKPOT !

Natasha and Hans are a friendly, responsible and reliable couple. They came to meet us and see the house before the sit and we felt confident leaving our home in their hands. It was a pleasure to come home to a freshly cleaned, neat and tidy house with everything in place. We have no pets but my husband has some precious plants and these all survived. Natasha is lovely to deal with and replies quickly to messages and emails. I would recommend them as house sitters.

We couldn't have asked for more. Hans and Natasha were professional and friendly from first contact. They have a genuine love of animals and we were never worried about their having our precious pooch in their care! They are well accustomed to minding homes and I would say they have had some tougher gigs than this one, but still come out shining. I highly recommend them as the house minding power couple!

This was a totally new experience for us and of course, being all of us strangers to each other, we had our concerns. All of these started fading from the initial phone and FaceTime contact. This is such a loving and caring couple! Our fur babies were taken care and loved as if it was us (priceless and I will be forever grateful). And the house... it's like we were never gone.
