Hi,

My name is Michael. I am a qualified dog trainer, having completed the Certificate 111 in Dog Behaviour and Training, through The National Dog Trainers Federation. I am also a certified dog training instructor through Dog Trainers Australia.

I am an experienced dog trainer, dog carer and dog walker.

Currently I am working part time with one of Melbourne’s most respected dog training schools, where I instruct Puppy classes, Basic Obedience classes and Intermediate Obedience classes. I also have my own small business called k9et. This business provides clients with dog walking and training services. My website is k9et.com.au

I have raised and trained dogs for a charity who provide dogs for persons visually impaired and persons with other special needs. This is a volunteer role that I have been doing for over 5 years.

As a volunteer for this charity, I am required to have a Working With Children's certificate, which requires a police check every three years (most recent on 23/3/22).

I am now looking for opportunities to home and pet sit, preferably in Richmond or surrounding suburbs.

I charge a fee depending on the home and pet sit. I’m happy to discuss a tailored fee for you.

I’ve had experience with other animals including cats, Guinea pigs, fish, chickens / geese / ducks, birds and farm animals (horses, cattle, sheep).

Please note that I am booked from May 31 to September 9. I am keen on securing longer term sits (two weeks plus) from September 9.

We have just been so blessed to have Mike come and sit for us. This was our first time having a sitter & I was a little nervous, but Mike put my mind at ease. He came to our rescue at a minutes notice. With our menagerie of farm animals he had quite a lot to take in in such a short amount of time. Michael was a pleasure to have in our home. He even cooked dinner for me when I arrived home early. Super yummy!! All my creatures were very well cared for. Our border collie puppy, Miss Bear, had some awesome adventures with Michael. I had reports and videos each day. My house was lovely and clean when I arrived home. I would thoroughly recommend Michael for your next house/pet sit. A great job and a very nice person.

This was our first time using a house and pet sitter and Mike really exceeded expectations! Mike was excellent with our three dogs - they got plenty of exercise and plenty of treats. He also gave us some tips on how to correct some bad behaviours! We got daily updates including photos and videos. Mike came to visit before we left for our holiday so that he could understand our routine. We were very lucky to have him stay and mind our dog, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. Doggy Maple bonded with Mike as soon as she met him. He was super easy to deal with, send us heaps of updates and communication was excellent! Both house and animals were in great condition when we returned. We highly recommend Mike and would love to have him back in the future.

Michael did a fanatastic job looking after our house garden and 3 dogs. He actually trained them to stop barking at passers by in front of the house. Took the dogs for 2 walks /runs a day. communication was comprehensive with photos and video snippets sent almost every day we were away ( 28 days) without us even asking. Michael and his dog Disco were the best company Willow could have wished for during our absence. Michael was great with her and took the time to get to know her and understand her needs.
