Family39, Stay at home mum
I am a 39year old single mother to a 11 year old girl. My daughter is calm and easy going as am I.
We were housesitting full time from end of August 2018 until befinning of Covid. We took a break for 2 years and are back at it again. We've had the most wonderful pets to look after. We are crazy for animals but as we are also need to travel to see family overseas at least once a year which means commiting to a pet of our own is not an option.
I have chosen to homeschool my daughter Gerte, therefore we can spend more time home if it's what you or your pets need. We love travelling but also to stay in, time in nature and animals.
We are extra clean and tidy, non smoking, non drinking, respectful towards other peoples belongings, mature and responsible.
We have many housesitting references.
In August 2023 we moved to Brisbane where we continue to housesit full time.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Maarja & Gerte stay in our home and look after our pets. We returned to a wonderfully tidy and clean home with two very contented cats 🐈⬛. We would welcome them back into our home at any time in the future.

Wow! Amazing! Thanks to Maarja and Gerte for looking after my home and Zenny so very well! It was so nice to walk into a lovely clean, tidy home. Zenny is missing them and keeps looking out as if waiting for them to come home! I cannot fault anything about their house sit and very highly recommend them.
I was delighted with the care that Maarja provided for my two cocker spaniel dogs while I was on holiday. The greedy one managed to eat half a carton of butter, but Maarja very capably got him off to the vets with full recovery (but probably no lesson learned by the dog). Her communication was great, and I returned to an immaculate house and two dogs expecting a higher standard of care from me after their experience with Maarja.
Maarja and her daughter did a great job whilst in our home. We arrived home to a very happy and healthy dog and cat. The home was spotless. Would definitely recommend her to all.
Absolutely recommend Maarja and Gerte as housesitters. They were perfect with our cat and dog, kept us updated on how they were doing, and were all around wonderful guests. They were here during some heavy winds and took great care of the house and garden. Gerte is very respectful of the animals and was perfect with Kodi and Rosie, despite them not being around kids very often. Having met Maarja and her daughter Gerte before they came to look after our pets, I was very confident that they would take special care of our dog, who must have been completely bewildered about the whole disappearance of his mum and dad. Maarja gave me very honest and caring feedback during our holiday, including pictures of our dog, obviously blissfully happy at the park, or cuddled up with Gerte. We were extremely happy with Maarja housesitting our property and our adventurous cat, Mika. Maarja delivered over and above on everything we asked her to do and is a genuine animal lover! We highly recommend Maarja (and her daughter) to others looking for a potential house and pet sitter!
Maarja and family did a fantastic job looking after our menagerie of pets and wildlife while we were away. Watering a big variety of pot plants and other plants went without any problems. Would gladly have them back and recommend them for any housesitting.
Maarja and family looked after my home and two dogs in January. Communication was very good, with photo updates and I felt really happy with the level of care and respect taken in looking after my dogs, house and garden. I would happily recommend them.
Maarja, Gerte and Kirill looked after our home and cats for 2 weeks over the Christmas period. Their communication before and during the stay was excellent and they filled us with confidence before we left. Upon our return we found the house to be in immaculate condition and our two cats content and calm. Our cats are still checking the spare room to see if they have returned! We can highly recommend them if others have need of a reliable house sitting family.

Maarja, Gerte and Kirill did a fabulous job of taking care of our house, garden and chooks whilst we were on holidays. They were good communicators during before and after. We would definitely have them look after our house again.
