I am a single mature retired woman. I am non-smoking, clean, conscientious, responsible and have integrity. I have house sat on and off for many years, beginning around twenty-five years ago for friends and colleagues but do not have any references from those people having lost touch with them.
I was a special needs teacher registered and teaching with Education Queensland as well as the Northern Territory Education Department.
I have lived in many places from Aurukun, Queensland, to Cygnet, Tasmania, on the East Coast and in Humpty Doo and Darwin in the Territory, and many places in between.
I am happy to go anywhere really to house sit as I love the experience of travelling and then living in a new place and finding out about the new place and all its wonderful sights and treasures such as waterfalls or beaches, walking tracks etc.
Since putting this ad in Aussie House sitters I have house sat for a Hostel in Emerald cleaning and maintaining the property with around 24 young backpackers in residence. I have also cared for a property, Gladstone region, and the resident animals: cattle; poddy calves (bucket feeding two); 2 mares and foals; other horses in paddocks, maintaining water to the paddocks; around 30 show chickens; 9 working dogs and 4 just weaned puppies; and a parrot in birdcage.
I have also cared for an autistic child in his home on the Fraser Coast, for a week whilst his mother went for a break.
And have cared for ten months for an elderly woman in her home also on the Fraser Coast.
I have house and pet cared on the Atherton Tablelands; the Rockhampton area; Hervey Bay; and the hinterland of south east Queensland. In New South Wales I have house sat in the Lismore region and Ballina area. In all but one house sit I have cared for timid dogs, sooky dogs, dogs who have wanted lots of cuddles and dogs who were workers and didn't go for all that cuddling stuff. I have cared for cuddly cats, naughty cats and a cranky huge cat who decided that perhaps I was okay after all and missed me when I left ( his Mum rang me to let me know he had gone looking for me after I left). One house sit was just to care for the house. All these house sits and pet sits have occured over the last few years. I hope they give a bit of an indication of my experience.
I have many hobbies, enjoying reading, writing, drawing, sewing, knitting, crochet, and turning my hand to all manner of craftwork, as well as bush walking, beach walking, and travel.
I have restored furniture and houses, as well as once being an owner/builder in my early thirties. I have made many gardens over the years and have lived a self sufficient life style for a number of years when growing my children, off my gardens and animals.

I can provide my Australian Drivers Licence (Qld), and my Australian Passport as a means of identification. As a teacher in both Queensland and the Northern Territory I have had police checks and do not have any blemishes.
