Current House-sit Application in Aus

Hi we are a fit, non-smoking and active Retired Grey Nomad couple who travelled slowly around Australia house-sitting from 2017 and then in NZ since April 2019. We currently have completed 32 house-sits in Australia and NZ.
In NZ we completed an 11 month house-sit tour on both islands including sits in Nelson, Dargaville, Northland, One Tree Point, Tokoroa, and Katikati and Kakanui before we had to go back to Australia at the end of March 2020 due to Covid19.
After completing our isolation we went back to house-sitting around Australia.
We completed sits in Mackay, Nebo Bribie Island Maleny and Wynnum in QLD in 2021. We've had a break from housesitting after buying a house on the Fraser Coast but we are getting back on to a housesitting tour of North QLD from May this year(2023)
We are massive pet lovers and greatly miss having our own pets while we travel and would love to look after yours.
We have sat many houses and units as well as hobby farms with multiple and varied animals and in fact, lived for many years on an acreage north of Brisbane, (Morayfield), so we can handle hobby farm properties as well.
We have sat many houses with large and small dogs, cats, cows, sheep, ducks, chickens, fish, ducks, alpacas, donkeys, horses, goats, guinea pigs, and have had our own cattle dogs, staffies, labradoodles, labradors, alsatians and several rottweilers.
I'm a retired Registered Builder / Construction Manager in QLD, and a very practical handyman capable of almost any hands-on maintenance.
I'm also a very keen amateur photographer and we like to stay in areas longer than normal Nomads, so I can search out all the good photo opportunities. We can provide links if you would like to see some photos of our travels & house sits.
We travel in Australia in a single cab Toyota utility with a camper on the back which only requires a standard size car park, but it is quite tall. See the photo in our profile. We may be able to store the vehicle elsewhere if that was required.
If you give us the opportunity to look after your property and pets, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Brian and Judy are highly regarded sitters. They did a 4 week sit For us while we went on a stress free holiday in April. I was very concerned about my little Old Bichon x who can be quite distressed when I'm not around for a few days. She has anxiety is very blind and going deaf. She also has injections once a month and It was no trouble for them to take her to the vet for her injection When she was due. Our fur babies were very well cared for that's for sure! These guys were fabulous. They settled in like it was their own home. From the photos the dogs loved them equally as much as they loved the dogs. I would certainly recommend them for a housesit.

Brian and Judy looked after our home and dog whilst we were absent during May. Upon our return we found the house to be clean and tidy and Cooper (Shetland sheepdog) to be well groomed. The yard had been cared for.

Brian and Judy house sat for us for 4 weeks. Everything was well looked after. We had a problem with our septic system and Brian was in touch straight away, we organised trades people to go out, Brian did a great job in overseeing and keeping us in the loop.We came home to a clean and tidy home, jam and fudge had been made and left in fridge. Brian and Judy took great care of our 2 dogs, cat and house for 14 days October 2019. Lovely people, caring, trustworthy, great communicators and most important to us, dog and cat lovers. We returned home to 3 happy animals, one being a 4 month old puppy which they carried on the training for us. Lawns were mowed, garden watered, house tidy and jars of chilli jam left for us. Brian and Judy were fantastic house and dog sitters. They took the "girls" for walks every day, and gave them great care, thereby allowing me a worry-free time away from home. The house was clean and tidy when I returned and Judy organised the kitchen which made my return easy and comfortable. Many thanks! I can highly recommend them without reservation whatsoever.

No rating Judy and Brian were great housesitters. They took excellent care of our family dogs; Sasha and Suzie. They walked them every day, administered their daily medication and treated them affection. The house was spotless and Judy had washed the sheets and towels which was very helpful, Communication was very good and I found Judy and Brian to be very friendly obliging house sitters, I would not hesitate to recommend Judy and Brian to care for your beloved animals while you are on holidays.

They have done a wonderful job, the cats were very happy, the house and sheds kept safe and additionally Brian made some amazing photographs while he was here. No rating It is always a bit of a worry when you go away and leave your pets behind. But our large dog Zara took to Brian immediately, and she was looked after very well the whole time. Brian and Judy also took great care of our house and were very respectful of our possessions. We would happily recommend them to anyone - but especially if you have a big dog that you love very much!

No rating I can highly recommend Brian and Judy to look after both your home and pets! They house sat through cyclones, vicious lows and record rainfalls all within the timespan. Always kept me up to date on how things were going and went above and beyond with some animal husbandry, not to mention the pickling of garden goods and chainsawing of smashed trees and the list goes on! Can't say thankyou enough! And wish them all the best in their travels/adventures!
