We have been housesitting full time for more than 10 years, as a lifestyle choice. We have day jobs as well; we work from home on our laptops.
We have cared for wide range of cats including Siamese, Turkish Van, Siberian, Devon Rex, Rag Doll and many rescues. We also care for dogs... from tiny 2kg to Great Dane with 1x or 2x walks per day and all sorts of special diet requirements and/or medicines. We have fed chooks ( qty 2 to qty 120! ); horses, alpacas; goats; fish, birds; kept plants alive during heat waves, and completed plenty of yard work.
Dominic knows a lot about pool and spa care because one of his software projects involves water testing. We are familiar with all the maintenance tasks for indoor and outdoor pools and spas.
Some other details: * We do not have any pets of our own. * We arrive in our own car. * We do not smoke and are allergic to smoke. * We will be with your home and animals almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. * We never charge for housesitting.
Because we work from home, we prioritize silent locations with fast, reliable internet service. We have an Optus 4g wireless router, so if you have NBN or happen to live near the city with strong Optus 4g cell signal inside your house, we will be able to work.

Ann and Dominic looked after our 12 month old Groodle (Golden Retriever / Poodle), Archie and house whilst we went away for 3 weeks. We exchanged a couple of texts whilst we were away and communication was not a problem. They walked Archie (who was is a large dog) twice a day, I think that Archie was disappointed when we returned . Ann and Dominic work from home and spent far more time with Archie during the week than we ever do, no wonder he loved them.
Our 4.5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house was spotless when we returned and cleaner than when we left it. They took such great care of our house.
We already have asked Ann and Dominic to look after Archie in Dec this year, however they were already booked, you have to get in fast!
I would not hesitate to endorse Ann and Dominic for looking after your house or pets, but please, just not when we need them in future!

Having Ann and Dominic housesit was a very positive experience. From the initial questions they asked when we first met, it was obvious not only that they are very experienced but also that they wished to do everything to keep established routines going for our two pets.

Ann & Dom were fantastic house sitters. From the moment we met them we felt relaxed leaving our animals and house in their hands. Dominic and Ann are the "dream" house sitters. My border collie bonded with them immediately and they walked her two times a day. Our two cats were also well taken care of. They took the responsibility of looking after our pets, home and garden seriously. As the weather was hot while we were away they watered the garden and they mowed the lawn and swept the leaves ( we did not ask them to do these last two activities). My cat does not like men so I have only had women sit for him before. We met Ann & Dominic twice beforehand (their suggestion) so my cat could become comfortable with them. The sit went well, they even looked after our flock of chickens really well. Dominic is so house proud, he even cleaned our shower; I think I will get them back again!
